I like the whole producing/researching thing and i wanted to know if it´s even realistic for a newb to hope beeing able to pay the bills doing just that. And, on the same note, I´d very much appreciate a link or two to some good producing FAQs, because there is only so much the tutorial will show.

By the way: Eve Rocks !!! And thanks in advance..

I'm afraid I can't point to a FAQ but I think it's plausable for a relative new player to prosper like this. But you'll have to mine a lot (so get a good mining ship, starting with the Osprey or Scythe and moving up to Battleships with a lot of turret slots and barges). If you stick to high sec you shoudl be able to trade your high ends for the low ends you need.

As far as the time that would take, well, can't tell there.

Sorry I can't be more thourough.

    Good Luck

I have a visual tutorial to building from and improving Blueprints which works in game.  Works out of game too, but is ugly. :)

Could you do it? Probably. But I wouldn't recommend it. Manufacturing isn't really an easy market to break into, and you need a good amount of starting capital to buy your first BPCs and such, I'd pick up the skills to do either PVE or mining to get a good base of ISK before trying something as expensive as manufacturing.

I came to the same conclusion. Now I´m doing missions and some mining to raise capital. Nonetheless, thanks for the good advice and the nice guides people.

manufacturing isn't hard to break into just don't try to break into the Big stuff first. Find a ammunition type that is useful in the area and buy the BPO for it. in fact buy 2 if you can. Manufacture with one while you que the other for research. Ammunition tends to be a very easy way to break into the manufacturing business till you can get into the larger world of ship manufacturing.

Sounds good. Is the amount of Buy orders a sufficient indicator for choosing what kind of ammo i have to make ?

Most of the time I keep finding buy orders for trillions of items for about 80% under regional price average. Or, no orders at all. Is this a viable market tactic or are people tryin to lure newbies to sell under cost  ?

They try to fool people in selling cheap, and just make it a bother to sell your stuff in general.

Go for the sell prices in your immediate region ( 5-7 jumps) and put out sell orders at maybe a 10-20%discount.

Also, join a corp that specialises in  manufacturing (or have a good manufacturing division) , they will most likely sell you BPCs and BPOs cheap and also lend you money.  Well, they should anyway lol.

Building your character solo will take an enormous time, so seek out a corp.

And get out of "noobspace" systems (Jita and such), try find a system with a fair amount of stations but with a poor market..There you can really sell things for good prices because not many PVPers like to go multiple jumps just to buy ammo/missiles/drones. They will gldly pay OVER the market just to get their stuff right away..
