Hi wowers

I played long ago , got few toons to lvl 30+ , sold the game to a friend

I see WOW (basic game) , is sold in shops dead cheap now.

Do you think it will be any fun to start WOW now (on a fresh server). Or will regular zones be wasteland and nobody will play them , now that BC is out ?

The new zones are only 1-20 and then 58-70. All the rest of the content will be from the basic game.

I'd say go for it. You can probaly get to the mid content fast and have all the people who are rerolling on new servers to level with.

There will still be A LOT of people who don't have the expansion yet and won't be getting it for a while, so I'd say the majority of the servers will have quite a few people in the "old" starter areas and the non-expansion zones.

I don't think lack of population will be a problem at this point.

I logged on last night with my 39 warrior who I've been playing for eight months now and was immediately grouping with some 25-30 draenei shamans. Holy cow.

I think you should have no problem....just expect a lot of draenei and blood elves all over the place.

One thing I've noticed though, at least on my server, is that hardly any lvl 60s are PVPing!  They're all over on the Hellfire Penninsula lvling up...except me...haven't bought the expack yet.

well i got back into WOW about a month ago, after 18 months away and rerolled a new character and there are loads of people running around between lvl 10-30.I have had no problems with gettin into groups for instances etc so i would say pick up that sword dust down your armour and come out swinging!

beside, nothing stop you from making a .. say, human, and bring him to draenei starting area. same thing for the horde, the starting areas are not limited to expansion people, making chars of the new races, outlands and jewelcrafting is. (unless i am wrong).

SO fear not, if it goes bad, you can just move over and be ok.

Me and my friend rerolled on a new and fresh server and I got to say that it's not like 2 persons running around, altho I must warn u that the starting areas for draenei and Blood Elfs are a bit overpopulated. But rerolling on a new and fresh server is recomanded

absolutely you can make a new character, non expansion and still have plenty of folks to play with, even with the hip new races being all the rage, the old races are still being rolled. And once the new folks who cam on board with the expansion play their Draenai and BEs for a while they will probably roll some of the old races. That and the fact that 20+ is back to the old world for shared content will mean you should have no lack of company.
