    If the crapfest that was the prequels had never been made I would have chosen star wars, but since they were I chose bladerunner instead.

    Brazil, Metropolis (1927), Avalon (watch it in polish, the dubs have no emotion in the voices and is just flat, besides you can read...subtitles shouldn't be an issue)

    damn I didnt read the second post... it would have been Blade Runner ( director's cut) but I never heasrd of blad runes lol.

       I also agree that the orginial Metropolis still has what it takes to stand with modern day movies.

    Erm... Pretty much all the EVEN numbered Star Trek movies were quite good (up til 6).  Most of the ODD numbered ones were pathetic.
