When you create an account, one setting is to automaticly subscribe to a thread... we all know the "Subscribe to this thread" checkbox, but sometimes I didn't uncheck it which automaticly subscribed me to a thread. And now my mailbox is getting full because of the alerts of this, so is there a way to unsubscribe / disable the alerts?

Maybe I'm just blind... if not I would love this feature.

    In "My Profile" > "Alerts and Email" there is a checkbox to have that checkbox off by default.

    I knew that, but now I am still subscribed to various topics... how to disable those?
