However he was nitpicking on alot of the shots but that is how the game is gonna look for the majority of the players. For those of you saying that he needs to upgrade his card, yes he probably does and so do I but alot of people won't plop down $300 for a new card at a whim. The average gamer is gonna see what he posted and these games either succeed or fail on the Average player.
Congrats, you posted something so ridiculous that I actually took the time to post on these forums for the first time in a year of reading. This game is massive, and has the single most breath taking views you will ever find in an MMO. I am glad you turned your graphics down and ran around looking for bugs in a BETA. God I hope you reported them by the way. I mean honestly, considering nearly every single one of the 19 races gets a deep and unique noob area, we could use a hand testing them all. Seriously, you will find yourself creating a new character to just see the noob area for the race. THIS GAME IS MASSIVE, can't stress that enough. I have beta'ed it for quite a while now and the only "bug" is you need a solid computer to run the game. Immersive, expansive graphics come at a price you know

Wow, I've seen some pretty stupid thigns, but this one is a clear winner of the stupid things people post. I'm not quite sure why you even put effort in this sort of topic when a game is in its Beta stage, but it is obvious that you collected shots from the Beta to add to this little piece of yours. People are confusing graphics lag with harddrive lag. Most of the textures in the game are large, and highly detailed with tons of bump mapping. The game lives and dies by bump mapping. Most games dont touch it because its system resource expensive. If you want to run the game with no "lag" at this point you would need 2 gigs RAM and two harddrives in RAID 0. That is assuming they won't optimize the game ever again, which of course they will. My system chugs in towns with a lot of players because of the harddrive, not because of cpu and graphic power. I only have 1 gig of ram as well. When I am with just a few friends questing in the outdoors, I can run game on max settings (no volumetric clouds though, for some reason they own my machine) and get okay performance. I have a dual core, mid-range amd processor and a 7900GS. My advice is just keep the "balanced" settings the game defaults to and tweak it a little.

I logged in for 5 minutes this morning, saw one PC floating about 4 feet in the air, saw another buried to his knees in a hill. It seems worse since the last patch if you ask me.
TBH, this is the method of witch hunters and the spanish inquisition. With that method you can drag down anything. The bigger any product is, let alone a game, the more such small things exist. Really, a majority of ppl dont even SEE them unless someone pulls their nose on it.
I was in the griffon handout and I have seen A LOT of the world, and it is just breathtaking. Yeah, if you turn all settings down water is like milk, but in what 3d game does water NOT suffer from low settings? Sigil never made a secret that several things are not ready and not as they should, but economic necessities demand a release. You can debate the system of capitalism, if you have a problem with THAT.
I sure still have my probs with several aspects in VG, but such super small things really are NOT on top of my list. Fire that burns... Oceanic wildlife... man, he has problems. Next he cares about that NPCs have no toilets or what?

You might want to get a video card that didn't come from the midevil ages, this will take out the glitches you noticed.

Here is an amazing screenshot for you. Not sure if this a demo of the new mining skill or what. The stuck text was there in game and flashing, for what reason I do not know
I dont think this person has ever heard of .... Beta... I would understand his frusteration if this was in the release, but he didn't pay for it.
And, I bet this person is a 10 year old, who doesn't understand the complexity and the amount of time it takes to program and design a video game, just so he can gripe because theres a tree sticking out of a rock....

The flashing text is actually deliberate in order for players to quickly see an idea where another player got stuck. There are areas in Vanguard where you can get stuck if you're not careful, like in any MMORPG. They're a bit more common in Vanguard than World of Warcraft, but they'll get fixed on an individual basis as the game continues to be developed (not just in beta but in retail).
If you're stuck, you can type /stuck and you'll eventually get unstuck if you hold still. Alternately, you can use your recall spell or have a player who can summon you do that.
Actually with the latest patch they also added a new command called /rope where you can effectively throw a rope to a stuck player (within 10ft) and drag them out of the stuck.

these look like someone took them on the lowest settings possible...course that doesn't excuse the floating people, thats probably a bug caused from the latest patch. I've personaly never seen this happen in any of the places I've been in the game.
