Quik Question... sorry if asked before

I researched the game a few months back, and then got busy wid other stuff coz it was soo far off. it still is but i cant remember one detail abt it :

1. Is it skill based or item based? coz i hate the differance between raiding players and non raiding in WoW.

p.s. uhm i detail actually... is it more like WoW or more like GW system sucked for me coz they had like 5 types of armor only due to balance. they way i see it they might have a similar system just based on tiers.. so do u guys think/know if there will be proper loot/drops ?

Greetings...WAR is going to be less dependent on item and more skill, there are no lvls as such as it all works through a TEIR system.WOW is a PVE mmorpg with a bit of counter strike battle grounds thrown in.

WAR is an RVR-PVP-PVE mmorpg in that order and any thoughs about 40man raids is way off the mark. From what i have seen and heard from Paul is that TOP raid bosses will be and can be taken down by a group of less than ten players.

Every aspect of the game effects RVR-PVP in some way shape or form, weather quests or instance scenarios it all leads back to RVR-PVP.

This is WAR and made by the best DEV team out there when it comes to RVR-PVP blizzard can never even come close to DAOC RVR-PVP system.

Check out the WORLD of WAR and be Thankful that GW(Games Workshop)are allowing MYtHIC to bring us WAR.

I cant comment on loot as no one knows yet but trust me when i say it will be nothing like WOW.

thats not necessarily a good thing , i hate the GW loot system where u have 5 types of armours and all u loot is materials that u sell or use to create those armors... i want to loot "x of the y" and items of dif rarityes or a similar sytem.. i like the discovery part of a game and if u find out that u can have only this this and this for the rest of the game, the only dif being u get to upgrade theyr stats every few levels, but the same upgrade for everyone.. well the discovery is kinda limited : ((

Im thinking they will have less focus on your gear and more how and when you use ur abilities.

I dont see there being alot of raiding in this game, and/or for that matter equipment that far better then other things of the same level. Look at the Orks, they use big random bits of metal for weapons and armour... you can tell me that someone took the time to make a magical +5 anti Dwarf car door or some rubbish....

    Brace yourself... WaR is coming!

    indeed,

well i prefer skill based rather than item based but i would liek it if there were many possible items, they dont necessarily need to have that big of a dif in their attributes. Just too look different. it seems to be a very customizable game. so hoefully that will occur

I think I saw some1 who wrote that in PvP u will loot ur targets and get some materials that u will hand in to ur blacksmith and then u will get access to the items. I don't remember where I saw it.

You may or may not like this, but lets say you're a black orc, and your bud is a black orc.  If someone came walking by, they'd be able to tell you were both black orcs but you won't look the same.  Customization happens throughout the game not just at character creation if that helps abit.  As far as gear, it's quite plausible that all black orcs could use the same gear, but not look the same, gear included.
