Id maybe update your ram to 1 gig for playing any online game but the rest of your system will run it fine.
Make sure u get the original world of warcraft as well as iburning crusade requires the original game.
Wel worth giving it a go. Had soe great fun battling alliance in outland.
Greatness is difficult to appreciate from close up. The great mountain on the horizon is only the ground when you are standing on it.
If it is like WoW Launch, then the BE/Draenei lowbie zones are going to be crowded. Plus, Outland mobs will be heavily farmed. They did say that the spawn rate in Outland will be adjusted based on how fast they being killed, so maybe that will help.
I would say wait like another week to let the initial surge die off some more.
You need both WoW and the Burning crusade just incase you don't know.
As far as computer specs, those will run it but not to well. With 512MB ram you will have trouble loading in towns like Ogrimar. Also you better not be paying over $100 for that graphics card cause it blows. Its also old. If you are paying over $100 I would get atleast a Radeon X1300-X1650, or Geforce 6800, 7300 or above. Also remember to get the right one for you motherboard PCI-E or AGP.

I built this really cheap system yesterday, so me and my girlfirend copuld play WOW at the same time :-
DFI LanParty UT RDX200CF-DR Crossfire (Socket 939) Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego (Socket 939) -
Sapphire X1600 Pro 256MB DDR2 AVIVO TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express)
OcUK Value 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 184pin DDR Memory Dual Channel Kit
I can run it at nearly full settings 1280x1024 no stutter at all.
I got this right from the TBC website
PC System Requirements
Mac System Requirements
All Platforms
Note the markings in red. I dont know if anyone has tried it but if you don't have broadband its going to be incredibly hard if not impossible to handle TBC properly. (The original world will be fine) If you've gone through all the money to update your processor and video card you really really really NEED that ram. Just buy another stick of 512 its not that expensive. (way cheaper than that pentium chip probably was)
Less than 1 gig of ram just doesn't cut it with PC games today. The more Ram and the better the video card the better the game runs. You could of kept your Pentium chip and updated the rest and been fine (less your mother board was already maxed) . What speed your pentium chip depends on the game but really you can still play games at like 1.6Ghz as long as you have the memory and video card to handle processing everything.
Oh and you need the original game first.

Run WoW at 15-25fps with all detail on min, shaders off, view distance at 50%, No AA (-5fps with AA on).
And you know what it still looks great... 40man raids where out, about 5fps there, IF bank ya looking at 10fps, but out in the wild questing or in 5/10 man dungeons I was getting an acceptable 20fps average. I was realy suprised.
Anyway download the 10day trial to see if WoW is for you. https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/index.htm not sure if your S3 gfx are upto to the job though.
