    Runescape may fall under this category. If I heard right from my friend, though, they had a major graphics overhaul that doesn't look as nice. Pretty fun game. But it has mostly immature community filled with ten-year-olds. So in that case, it kinda sucks.

    Runescape is 3D, believe it or not.



    Starport: Galactic Empires is a nice mmo.

    Fun game alot of nice people, but it is P2P After lvl 21.  And the Price is CHEAP!

    When ever I play this game it feels like im in the .HACK world...  Its so awsome!

    Hey i could just play runescape or dofus. better graphics for %$ and 8$. i would pay 20$ for dofus that games just sweet.

    Maple = Dragon Gem = Ghost Online.

    Dofus is different but combat is ssssslllooooowwwww and the grind for anything (money, crafting, xp etc) gets insane after a few levels.

    Its not completly 2d but i liked eudmons online when i played it. Its free and lvling is very fast to start. i got to level 40 in a day. They acully encurage boosting in that game to. Its a huge grind though but thats what to expect about 2d mmos.

    Best bets are probably maple story or myth war. Myth war actually looks really nice for a 2d game imo.



    And i wouldn't p2p that game either, if your going to p2p a game like that just buy diablo 2

    I can tell by the way you act, and my estimate of your IQ is about 40. Which is the average of an ONRPG.com person.



    2D games that are enjoyable are not rare to find, just HARD to find because of all the 3D hype.



    Games like http://eternal-lands.com/ get looked down upon because of the graphics, but once you get into it the community is MUCH better than any game (like WoW) can bring. Mainly because of those type of games CROWDED with people like you.



    So I suggest trying one of the populars, like Maple Story and Ghost Online. Or maybe if you're brave you could go to Ragnarok Online (PR's) and try it out, see if you like it.

    All i want is a game with a FRIENDLY community, decent graphics, not extremly hard to make monney or level (like dofus), a decent hit system (not like runescape), and good combat.

    Diablo II was sick, but once your level 99 and your done with everything, theres so many people using hero editor its not even funny. (i found out about hero editor way after i was 99 and way after i quit). so the game gets preety lame
