Last Chaos - New F2P MMORPG coming out soonish, playable now...

Hi All,

I'm seriously thinking about playing this game.

Reading some of the hype, the comments seem mostly positive, with some negative ones here and there, but then again, that's always the case.

However, after downolading the gameplay movie and checking out the forums, this game does look like it has some potential.

Anyone here play it long enough to give me a good overview?

If so i'd love to hear what you have to say.

Cheers,

Ginetti.

I for one cannot play it.

    My system is too mediocre.

Just the intro to the game though, had me literally bouncing with excitement. (downloaded and could connect, but my system blows so it was waaayyy too choppy.)  Radeon 9000 series.

It looks really good, I'm going to try it when it goes live but I've heard from a few people that it's unbelievably grindy.

I'm going to give it a shot, my only concern is the "item mall" I hate these :/ it usually means the game is designed around *needing* to some extent to spend money on items, I would rather pay my 15/month and be on equal ground with everyone... but I'll give it a shot and report back :)

ive played this game for about 2 months now, im fairly high lvl. the game characters are not yet custamizable, as in you can only have a male warrior or a female mage. the pet system is kinda dumb and hard to actually get anywhere with unless you are high lvl. the armor and weapons in the game are common on everyone, nothing is unique. all in all i give it a 2/5. they need to improve on alot of stuff. only good thing (depends on who you are) is you can solo most everything by yourself. oh and leveling from lvl 18 onward is horribly slow...

I played both US and MY versions , the MY is by far superior to the US. I played a healer/archer elf chick , til around 30.

They have alot going for them , the personal dungeons , the decent events ,crafting system (and afk mining, herbing and energy rocks O.O). Each class has selection of 2 weapons , upgrading is fairly cheap , they got a nice slot machine system for moonrock dealy.

The quests are pretty basic , but alot of time they give rewards equal to your and some give rewards beyond your level. (at lvl 16 I think I got a quest for like lvl 20+ clothing that was +1 or +2) , potions , and drops are pretty good.

The cash shop has potions , manuals , and standard stuff. I moved about the time when they showed the cash shop , I dont remember anything unbalancing , maybe the xp potions.

I never felt any grind , I went through 30 lvls in the MY version in maybe 3 or 4 days. While the US version I think my knight was 12 or so in closed beta. The Healer/Archer grouped alot in these temple/dungeon places , so maybe that was why I lvled so fast.

My friend on the MY version has a pet.. dragon I think , he says its crap pet system but that is how you get mounts and his pet gives his some kinda buffs.

I wanted to give this a decent review but I can't take any game seriously that uses a point-click interface to move... good god.... why can't people make it customizable?!?!?! am I missing somthing here??? is there a hidden option for wasd movement??

You cant take point and click games seriously, well, this shows how much of an MMORPG kid you are, the original and BEST mmorpgs ever, such as Lineage (original) and Ultima online where all point and click, so basically your saying you cant take the games that originally made this genre seriously. It was no suprise to me when i read your sig that you are an EX WoW player, many of the WoW players suffer from your mentality (not all) i have played WoW myself and it is a very solid, well made game, but it attracts narrow minded fools more so than other games.

Anyways imo, point and click works great with some games and others not so well, i dont NEED WASD movement in a game to enjoy it (unlike some) mainly because iv played MMORPGS for a very long time and therfore i am used to the older methods of movement, which is still viable today.

Last Chaos is actually a pretty decent game if you can take the grind. At higher levels its supposed to be even better, just getting there takes a while.

People, see on it better. Last Chaos is only one mmorpg 3d style and have best of crafting system. Other games like Line Age, RAppelz,WoW... After 20 hour of killing and hunting monsters this is cause too boring and grind.
Last Chaos get some choise - you may fight, or collect resource (level up you craft skill).
Very good for Free to play game.

You're absolutely right I started playing MMO's with WoW, who cares? I still hate point-click movement and always have, I never liked the Diablo's much for the same reason. (however DOOM2 used the keyboard!) I'm not an MMO Historian, frankly I don't give a damn what games made the genre, or what movement style they used.

All I ask for is a customizable game so I can move how I want to, how does that make me a narrow minded fool? I still played this game for a while after realizing it was point-click and I couldnt get past that personal barrier of hating point-click.

Some people just look for reasons to be offended. Get over it. I don't like point-click, you do, deal with it.

I love point/click games, 1st when saw on Diablo and then i always looked for it.

then THANG was cool just because of the point/click system... its like having most relaxing game, playing with one hand while other i could use it for other issues...

(just stop thinking on what i were doing with the other hand...)

downloading Last Chaos, registed and looking forward for  a good time.

I read earlier in this thread about someone suggesting the MY server over the US one. Does anyone else have a preference over the Malaysian server?
