This card has passive cooling and may give you heat problems. Also alittle  under powered for Vanguard. I would suggest going for a better card if it's in your budget. At least one with an active fan/heat sink.

The cooling is fine, the card doesnt generate that much heat so no need fot actieve cooling. Though the performacne will be a bit low for Vanguard. It will be playable but on low res and low settings.

Actually the people commenting on the new egg site say the card gets over 100 degrees. This is a problem for stability with a game like vanguard and the lifespan of the card itself.

well i think ill be ok with the new card and more ram, this computer is brand new custom built, it runs awesome, and CS runs insane. Im also going to take it to my local computer store to have my new card and memory OC'd. will the OC'ing help out?

Hehe, you were right...they do say that it gets hot. I thought budget cards nowadays run pretty cool like in the old days, oh well..:)

That video card is just not the best choice you can make. And since it's passively cooled, you aren't going to be able to OC it much, if at all.

CS - Spend the extra money and get a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130017 . If you end up buying the card you linked, you'll only be upgrading it within a month after being frustrated with it. It runs hot and doesn't have the power. The 7600GT is a wicked awesome card for the price. It's almost twice as fast as the 7300GT as it comes out of the box overclocked. Good luck.

Instead of paying someone to OC your PC, put that money into a better vid card. The built in Nvidia OC utility will auto find the "best" frequencys. Also over clocking your PC as far as the cpu and mem speed is pretty easy. many of the MB manufacturers ship their boards with a utility to do just that. Gigabyte is one of those. If not doing it in the bios is pretty simple. Lots of guides out there to teach you how to do this. Good luck to ya.

That is a much better choice. Those 7600GTs offer great bang-for-the-buck.
  • Would a NVIDIA 7800 GTX 512 MB Ram a good choice?

I wouldn't recommend a card less than 7600gt for this game
