EvE is at 8.2 and guildwars at the same thing but above it... wonder how long that lasts

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    its all back to 8.3 now... considering how many have voted for both those games you'd think it take more than a vote or two to change it.  I'm thinking atleast 500-1000 votes to get what you want.

    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    The top 3 or 4 have been violently flip flopping around each other and around the 8.2 and 8.3 mark for the last 10 days, or so I have noticed anyway. Almost like there is some concerted effort from multiple groups to manipulate the ratings, and an equally concerted effort from the site admins to stop it. Either that, or a hell of a lot of new and varying ratings for all of the games.

    Well you have to consider the audience who is voting too.

    When Eve won the award for best pve last year, you had to know that the results are a bit out of focus.   If you have not played Eve it is a pvp game that has little focus on pve and it shows.

    Yep i agree eve is more focussed on PvE than PvE. Tho that does seem to be changing tho.

    /me points out that its not about whats on top(I like both the games, and would likely like everquest if I tried it) but rather about the ratings themselves.  we're talking atleast 500 or so people changhing their vote in under 30 mins.

    don't update the game ratings in real time(as it is people who ever they are just keep changing votes until they see what they want)(I saw guild wars up to 8.4 go back down to second place with 8.3) have it update every 6 or 12 hours.



    drop all ratings that don't have a comment attached.(this one time)



    a comment with more than 50 chars should have a slight bonus say 5-15% to the wieght, to encourage people to say something besides "this game suckzors/rockzors" if they really care they'll give a reason why.
