Hmm... Burning Sea was put into development first. But DOVR has been trying to find the right 'theme' for their first real MMO for at least 5 years now. I think the fact that PotC films got so big just made this a must for Disney. I don't even think they really cared about BS. Mostly because DOVR knows they will get customers just by saying its based on the films (and it will be launching at the same time as the final film). I don't think it was an intentional rip-off. Disney is not going around lookng for a game to steal. They can ruin their own just fine hehe.

It seems they are going for the runescape theme... free to play but pay to play for more content... its graphics are kinda like runescape but much better which means its going to be playable on just about any computer with an internet connection.
This game will most likely be more popular then potbs because it allows for free players. i know i will check it out and i wont bother checking out potbs unless it gives a trail or public beta.
who really cares. If your interested in more cartoony style gameplay then go with POC but if you like more realistic gameplay then go with POTBS. I also dont believe that POC has bad graphics. There just more toon like.

(And that was a movie that turned in to the game as well, with great results at first)
