just wondered if there was a date for the graphics upgrade?

    Graphics can't fix the game.

    It's ironic, Ultima Online started with some of the best gameplay ever in an MMOG and the old 2d graphics hardly mattered when compared to other games like Everquest.  Ultima Online was about the gameplay and community.  And now some of the same type of fools that ruined the gameplay now think they can fix everything with a graphics upgrade.

    Graphics keep people playing past the initial 10 seconds... Gameplay keeps them playing for weeks... Community keeps them playing for years.



    I wont play UO becuase I cant handle the shiat graphics. Its too lame.

    I love 2d graphics, the best games that have ever been made are 2d imho and it reminds of the 8,16 and 32 bit consoles when I was a nipper. Actually I have been accepted to a 2d mmorpg beta and cant wait to play. The 2d part is not the problem its the fact that UO graphics are really really bad and how much they ask per month for the game it wouldnt kill them to get rid of those pixels.

    I think they said that in january (in uo terms february to  june) they will tell more.

    Kingdom Reborn's release date is rumored to be Spring 2007. Don't trust me on that though.

     Yes unfortunatley  JT  they probably all are UO hate posts    Sempiternal its THE biggest UO forum  troll  to ever mash his chimp fingers into a keyboard.  I agree with the Pathetic part too man,  "get a life" is all i can say i swear  this twit thinks that posting about pre-ren days of UO and  that its broken or ruined now in every frickin UO forum post  is gonna turn prospective new players off the game  as well as turn existing players into haters like him.  My best guess is his apparent choice of game (Roma Victor) is so weak in its content  that all he has to do these days is troll the UO forums and be a hate-monger. Some people  know not the meaning of give it a rest ,  ohh well   i guess because Semp says so  UO is broken and doomed  quick everyone sign up for RV!

    Thats not what he asked now did he? He asked if there was a ETA. My god what kind of person are you just bashing away on 1 game day after day.



    I used to be sore about uo being ruined as well. All the fun was out of it, no more pvp you name it i thought it. Untill recently i realised that even though it's not what it used to be, it's still the best mmorpg out there today. I tried millions of different mmo's from EQ2 to WoW and WURM to A Tale In The Desert. UO is still the deepest most  entertaining mmorpg out there. And once you get over the fact that it will never become as it used to be (because lets face it, you changed, just as the game did. Would the game be released now like it was back then, i bet all the people screaming they want the old uo back would not enjoy themself the same way as they did then.) you can still have quite a lot of fun with uo.



    But lets not go offtopic here

    honestly all this crap uos taking from other mmorpgs about having bad graphics is ridiculous.  The graphics sytem may be underpowered atm. however, it is highly stylised and detailed(atleast in its 2-d form). It  seems not only to reduce lagg but also make the gameplay better. I like uo's graphics better than some cartoony mmos such as wow, and i hope kr doesnt change that.  I also agree completely with tranquility that despite its many problems and errs coming out of ea, that it is the best mmo ive ever played. It also uses a unique camera angle ond pov that distinguish it from other mmorpgs. You should also remember that dated graphics may not attract new players, however, they detract very little if anything from the game. However, because of that it has come under ridicule.  However, i would like you to try and imagine uo with wow like graphics....
