Haha just got my pre-order box rushed to my local Ebgames to get the early acess keys before they ran out..Glad i made it in time..Pretty pointless post i guess im just excited! see you all ingame

    Did they give you the box that says at the top "pre order only- final game software not included"  Then on a little yellow label it says "this box includes early access to the game, unique in-game item, beta invitation, guild recruitment tool. etc etc etc"  I reserved a copy of vanguard back in october and I went to pick it up last weekend.  The guy at EB told me I had to come back on the 30th to get my copy.  This puzzled me so I told him that Vanguard lets you get in the game 3 days before the release.  Lol, this puzzled HIM.  So he grabbed a copy of the above mentioned box, read it, and gave it to me.  He said he was pretty sure I'd be ok.  I have a feeling I'm ok, but just want to be sure.

    I tried to "consume" my key from the insert inside the box but it just kept referring me to beta (which I'm already in)  At a guess, I have to wait until the 27th to "consume" the key, then play for 3 days, then I have to pick up my copy on the 30th to confirm my account.  Does this sound about right to you guys?

    Also, one other thing I wonder is do I have to reinstall the game and patch or will my most current version of beta jive with a partial install of some sorts from the disc.  Any feedback would be most appreciated, thanks!

    Hahha well i walked into the store Telling them im pre-ordering vanguard he reached behind the counter got me a box with the yellow label yes saying what you stated....Well when i got home i attempted to skip beta download (im not in beta) and typed in mystation name and crap but the key was invalid..So i went back to the CD directory installed the beta when it was done installed i "Consumed" my key and activated it..And now i am currently patching..Hope this helpd ya

    Thanks for the input everyone, it has set my mind at ease.  I didn't wanna screw it up! 

    I haven't had much luck with the guys at my local EB games in the mall near my house.  I looked at my receipt and I actually reserved my copy october 19th and I've been checking in on the status every few weeks and never gotten a clear response.  I think they're so busy with Wii, PS3 and the 360 and all that other stuff.  Like I said above, the weird reaction I got from the guy it was like I was the first person to get a copy that shipped to the store and this was only a couple of days ago. 

    At any rate, I look forward to seeing you guys in the game, best of luck to all of you!

    I also purchased the Pre-Order box for $5 from EBgames earlier this week.  The same box as described in this thread. 

    So my question is (as someone that has never been involved in Vanguard beta), are you saying that I can install, download and start playing on January 26th Friday???  I had just assumed all I did was reserve myself the 'real' game when it was released on January 30th?

    Thanks.  Any clarification would be helpful.  Wow, to get to play this weekend would be FANTASTIC!!!!!

    They are getting very low on supply in my area.  One of the EB guys told me when I went to pick mine up that 6 people had come in that day to pre-order since the stability patches went in.

    My suggestion if you wanna play on Friday is go now!  $5.00 gets you the pre-order then you can pay the rest when your full box comes in on the 30th.

    That is correct.  Friday the early head start begins.  I think it's at 1pm EST.

    Sweet!!  I'll be playing on Friday then!

    Good advice given about getting to EBgames early.  I have a bunch around me and they are almost all out.

    Do you think we get these pre order boxes around christmas but keep them away from customers that wish to preorder just for the fun of it?

    We receive the boxes when the developers deliver them to us so stop flaming the worlds best company for something they cant influence!
