2. Soooo many threads about "why ____ sucks or why _____ is better then _____" etc etc etc
3. Soooo many threads about "this game no one has seen will change everything and be better then your favorite!" etc etc etc
4. Soooo many threads about "Need to go back to "hardcore" or "oldschool" or "all new MMOs carebear."" etc etc etc
Give it a rest already!!!!
1. Of course it's about money, without money, no game, so how do you get LOTS of money? make a good game people want to play and keep playing.
2. People will always have opinions on what they like/dislike or what they think is better/worse but STOP ASSUMING you are "right" and flaming people for being "wrong" because opinions cannot be right or wrong, they are opinions! based on personal likes/dislikes and experience, not absolute fact...
3. No game in development, in alpha, in beta, or even released will ever stay 100% the same. MMORPG's are constantly evolving and changing. STOP TRYING to predict the future and assuming your predictions are correct and people who disagree are wrong
4. If they really needed to go back to the "hardcore" or "old school" style of MMO, they would have. It's a niche market, hence why EVERY major MMO is more "friendly" and as the haters say "carebear" because guess what, it's working! the genre itself has expanded and grown, and is making an obscene amount of money.
So give it a rest already!!!!
How about we talk about something constructive? personal reviews of game that are done with taste and not assuming superiority that "i dislike/like this game so you should to."
constructive ideas on how/what you would like to see and why it would work/be cool/ etc.
Yes, there are post of this nature out there, and I applaud those who post them for trying to be constructive, but for the rest who keep posting the SAME OLD CRAP time and time and time and time again....

Yeah, I know I don't have to read it, and I don't in most cases, guess I'm just bored of scrolling through the forum topics and seeing the same 4 posts over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....

Did you get flamed in a post and felt the need to come here an vent, attempting to take to moral high ground whilst doing the same thing you are complaining about is hypocritcal.

i'm not doing this inflame people into response as they do with the "___sucks you suck etc etc" posts
and it is the moral high ground to not behave like a child and purposely insult/look down on people
just asking for a little common sense and for people to think twice before posting the same rant that 30,700,432 other people have posted before

Hmmm, let's bitch about people bitching... regardless of whether their rants have any merit or not.
Let's work on thinking of more WOW type clone games and features that might make a ton of money even if that's not what we truly desire and want ourselves. Because posting about games or topics of things we want to see in mmos today that just aren't out there is considered more "ranting and bitching".
Let's bitch some more about how we are sick and tired of seeing bitching on a mmorpg site.
Let's whine that all we see is the same kindof topic repeated over and over, because that really is a shock on an mmo website. I mean in the real world, people would NEVER, EVER talk about the same subjects. In the real world, I've only ever heard the topics of such things of food and sex come up once. Oh yeh, and I've only ever heard ONE blonde joke in my life! I can't possibly imagine why in the world topics come up over and over on this site! ...Bitch some more about it.

At first, you point out that there are many flaming threads out there, which is true. Then you list several points which make up a sizable chunk of current constructive criticism to wards MMORPGs in general. I mean, if we cant discuss if a specific MMORPG is too hardcore or not, then whats left to discuss? If I consider a game to have very grinding combat but someone else does, theres just nothing I can realy do to convinve the other person if that other person doesnt consider repetative combat grinding. But disscussions like that are healthy, as long as they are kept constructive and meaningfull, and not "U sux cuase u like/dislike grind".

i enjoy reading and posting on this site because i do like to see what other people have to say, gives some perspective and honestly gives me something to do at work. it's just that recently it's ALL been the same thing repeated over and over...

btw i just love how people reacted to this. i may not be the most eliquent with my words, but the level to which some people were upset by this post I really find hillarious.
I know complaining about complainers accomplishes nothing, not an idiot, but sometimes you have to show people how ridiculous things are sometimes using language they can understand.....

I have to agree with the OP. I can predict the headlines of the posts for the next week based on the last week and the week before and on and on. I may be wrong but I think all he was trying to say is lets show a little respect towards each other and try and discuss the MMO world in a constructive way. We all have valuable perspectives and the community is stronger when we get creative with our communication and don't make it always "me" against "you"
With a little time and care, we can make our points to each other without such extreme language and hate. After all, it doesn's cost us anything to say, carebear, noob, idiot or whatever the favorite terms of endearment are for the time being. But to actually think about what we want to say and defend our positions inteligently takes an investment of our time and energy.

It is increasingly frustrating these days to find good information at all on these boards thats of any real use. I chalk that up to all the posters that can't spell, use periods, commas and spaces at all or they can't say anything constructive at all.
