It's a British drama docu made in the early eighties. It's about a (the) nuclear war and how things would happen.
I've studied the nuclear war thingy and I must say this docu is spot on with most things. Only fault I could find (not their mistake, the research wasn't released untill the nineties) was that they gravely underestimated the global exponential growth of nuclear radiation that would eventually kill everyone.
Anyways... It really got to me. Chills down my spine, goosbumps, dry mouth, ... I've seen people be almost killed and I didn't react like that.
I'm pretty serious about this. I almost think it's your duty to watch it. And don't go bitching about the cold war being over.
I think no ideology, no nation, no race, no system, no government is worth something like this. On any scale.
Pfft. I don't even know why I'm doing the fucking effort. Most of you are kids who need 55 explosions, 20 pair of boobs and 5 feet wide muzzle flashes to have any neural response whatsoever. You're so spoiled, sitting there on a sugar high, that most of the scenes in this movie will make you laugh. You probably lost the ability for empathy altogether at the age of 2 when your last shreds of genetically induced humanity were blasted from your synapses while watching a pokemon marathon.
And the rest of you are cynical old bastards who are so convinced of their perfection (probably got laid in the past 6 months or so) and their mastery over society and the world that they see no relevance in anything that disturbs them from your comfortable in-the-box way of thinking, your socially acceptable little ideas and your comfortable disregard for the less fortunate.
So I'm doing this for that one poor sod who typed a wrong URL or something.
