I'm toying with the idea of coming back to AC, after about 2 years. However, I dont really like the idea of having to grind back up to where I was before (lvl 126). Does AC keep accounts after people quit (like EVE does) ?
What you need to do is have Turbine restore your account for you. I was able to get 3 accounts restored last week after being gone for 3 years. I had not played since the initial parts of Dark Magesty, and I did play since Beta, but they were able to restore all 3 with no problems at all.

Can you tell me who and how you contacted them about it? Email address or phone #?
It's easy to start over these days anyway. Once you find a guild with some friendly people, most are willing to help out and you can get to 126 within a month. (Less, if you're an active player) It took a friend of mine (after not having played for years) only about a month to get to 126. Granted, within that month he didn't do much questing or anything else.. just XPed non-stop.
It can still take a while if you're doing quests and other stuff on the side.
Yea Ac was a good solid game and I am glad it is still around and seems like it is doing okay. I have considered playing it again but I don't know if I want to grind my way up again either. Its be atleast 4-5 years since I last played and I don't have a clue what account or password i used then. Anyways enjoy the game if you decide to play again, it was a lot of fun.

They will give a detailed description of procedures before continuing. You will have to purchase Throne of Destiny in order to get the new content, but you can get that for 20.00 from direct2drive.com All this information will be described to you when you fill out the form though. Hope this helps.
I also am thinking about returning. I played for about a year when it first came out. I don't remember it being that structured (guilds etc.). How do you go about finding a decent guild?
I am probably going to return as well....I am just going to jump in and if I screw up it will be like the good old days when I constantly had to reroll
I went back recently when they had the 14 day trial.
I honestly don't know why they don't do a server merge. The pops are really low and spred out. If they trimmed it down to about half the servers they would be hopping and full. The pop issue (IMHO) is doing more damage then anything else.
Thats mainly why it didn't stick with it after the trial, it was a single player MMORPG. (aside from alot of buffbot and trade bots) its disappointing after all these years to see that Turbine still allows all the macroing bots in and hasn't addressed the issues at all. Its like AC is frozen in time. If you want to relive your old AC experiences, you just about literal can in AC. Nothing has radically changed at all. Which is a good thing I guess....if you can live with playing alone alot.
If they consolidated servers I would seriously consider going back but I play MMO's because I like being around lots of other players...right now its more akin to a single player RPG with a monthly fee.

Any tips for doing this if you can't remember your old MSN Zone username? hehe, see, I tried migrating my account over to turbine, but they can't do it they said unless I have the specific old Zone username. I had a few of them back in the day (and it's not my current one), and can't remember the exact one that ties to my main old AC account. Any tips is appreciated, if it's even possible to work around...
