1PM, 01/26 - Notes on the Vanguard Pre-Order Launch

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
  • Population - 1pm and it is PACKED... I created 8 different Races on 8 different servers... each starting area had over 100 players easily... rough esimate, I'd say there are over 20k players on now... all servers on Low for population...
  • Lag - Lag is a LOT less... I played around about 100 players for a bit, with ZERO lag... I'm guessing it's been reduced by them turning off the monitoring tools...
  • Toons - You only get 8 toons for ALL of the servers...

I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

In fact, forget the SWG!!!!

    You can log in right away.

    You should be able to log in after you install.



    I would caution you about downloading from Sony. It took forever for my download to complete (24++ hours) and when I went to install, the install failed because one of the files was corrupted. I canceled the buy order from Sony and went through direct2drive.com instead. I am currently downloading the game, and the total download time should be under five hours.

    Use a download manager like Getright or "Internet Download Manager" (IDM is easier out of the box). It will accelerate it so you download at full speed (by doing several connections to the server at the same time). This way it should be done in a few hours.
