I read somwhere that WoW is balancing out classes by making a Rock, Paper, Scissors effect to make it so people fight in groups? Is this true? Plz reply.

I heard about that, but it was more about in the PvP faction battles. The type where there are dozens of people battling out upon a large field. But they said there was nothing final about that, and there was a good chance that it might change (if it was like that at any time).

Yes, that's the plan they had for PvP.  Seems easier than making all classes 100% equal.  And it adds more strategy in GvG combat.

Actually if you think about it, its a very bad Idea, heres why.
If you make certain classes godly against others it completely Rules out Solo pk and forces you to Pk in a group(Alot of people love solo Pk).  If they made all classes equel with good skills (ups and downs) then it would leave it all up to you to make ur character good or not, and Group V Group would still be just as good.........

Unfortunately its infinitely times more difficult to balance each class against each other single class yet keep the group vs. group combat balance.

Certain classes will of course be no where near godly against others, but will have a slight hand up.  A much better player could overcome the disadvantage with real life playing skills.  Think of the balancing in Shadowbane if you've ever played it(I know the game is horrible, but that's irrelevant.)  An assassin with heal block has an inherent advantage over a healer, a tank with resist gear has an advantage over a mage... so on and so forth.  Making these types of advantages more formal would mean that you aren't the only assassin without heal block, or that you aren't a Mino barb without resist gear.

As for solo PvP, you'll have an advantage against one type of player, no advantage against the other, and a disadvantage against a third.  That would make you equal to or more powerful than every 2 out of 3 people you encounter, not bad odds.  Solo PvP is then not only still an option, but there's also an added level of excitement due to the rist of encountering someone you're weak against.  Or the excitement of running into a group of 2 people who you are strong against and trying your luck beating them...
