ding level 6, thanks for deleting everyhing i owned.. :S

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

now this is weird, in 7+ years of mmo this has never happend to me, rollbacks sure, xploss sure.. but a complete character inventory wipe i have never seen.

 

so before server came down i was a level 6 bard, and the moment i dinged 6 i noticed i was naked.

no armor, no weapons, nothing in my inventory, no money, NOTHING!

everything i accomplished armor/money wise was gone.

 

this disturbs me though, a LOT.. what if shit like this happend @ 50+? i dunno how to contact support..

i tried relogging, logging out and in etc, but everything kept on being gone.

    I have.

    Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.

    Report it. They might get your stuff back.

     

    Could you ahve hit lvl 7? If you die you loose your stuff

    Maybe it have to do something with the patch, wait for the servers to accept you in and it might be ok again.



    And yes, it might be that you hit lvl 7 and died.. press M and look for a small tombstone.





    This happend to me during the beta, it mostly worked out fine after I re-logged, only con was that my char was located in the middle of the sea=)

    Hehe, not died yet on my Ranger after level 7, but when you die, you respawn naked, and have to run back to your corpse to claim back your items?

    You loose all items that is not soulbounded (you can souldbind items that is bindable with a item you can buy in the shop)



    There is two ways to get your items back.



    1. Run back to tombstone



    2. Click on the altar where you respawn and then pay a small fee to get it back, tho you wont get any exp back and your items will loose, i think it is 15% durability.

    There was aload of level 17's spawned in my starting area, i couldn't even level up with that char lol.

    nopes didnt die, i dinged level 6 on a quest, and the moment i dinged it happend.

    i didnt die, i didnt turn level 7, nothing of those kinds.

    i just turned 6 and everything dissapeared.

    that was a pretty common bug in SWG at release. 3 months after release I lost everything in bank and 2 vendors with a million or so credits worth of crafted goods. I contacted SOE's CS and they told me to suck it up and stop whining which prompted me to cancel

    Actualy I hear rumors of people loosing levels during the patch process today. I am hoping All is well on Florendyl. Most likely the reason why we can't log in. Our character is wiped.

    Yeah i can log onto all my characters accept my lvl 6... Even ones on the same server.

    When a server is down you can't see your character. You think your char is gone but it isn't, just restart VG.



    I have no idea why they put this patch up as it has completely FUBAR the pre-release. Was going sooo smooth now I crash on characters on servers that are up and the server I started on (Flamehammer) has been down for 4 hours.





    Releasing a patch that isn't properly tested ON A SATURDAY is a bad idea. I love the game but this was just stupid.



    Luckily I'm going out tonight.

    It was probably a hiccough from the patch. There were a couple that snuck in. They're going tof ix it. Stop freaking out.
