i quit yesterday just don't be seduced by the poor peon that beggs u to stay, lol

Well, to be honest. I used to be a heavy addicted WoW player. Started back in beta and play it almost every day, serveral hours even. However when I got my new job I kinda "Woke Up" and finally realised what I was doing with my life. Now I have a good social life, a girlfriend a car and firm job and enjoy playing a few hours of Guild Wars each week.

I think the difference could be immeasurable. I am not talking about game content though so don't get nervous. When you make the commitment to stop doing something and have strong motivations to do so, you have to or else risk becoming addicted again. It's like any problem. Just think of alcoholism. He still likes the social online community but in order to stay out of the addictive circle, he chooses another game and makes a concious decision to play it less. The temptation, and social circle is not there from the old game to try to force the addiction back.
For me WoW comes in spells. I feel like playing and I will play it for a few months and get really bored. Then once I have stopped playing I will start looking for another game which is WoW like lol. Wont find it and then will ultimatly come back to WoW. I need a new game big time!

Kind of hilarious coming to a MMORPG site and posting about not playing MMORPGs for whatever reason.
The mind boggles from the <insert most popular MMORPG> addiction nonsense threads.
People need to cease enforcing their social standards upon others. What's normal for me is addiction for you. What's normal for you is addiction for someone else. It's a never ending circle of people trying to manipulate others towards their own version of "proper social conduct".
