I'm on the FFA pvp server mainly because my friends wanted to play different races on different continents, but I also do like the FFA environment for the most part. HOWEVER, the way it stands now is ridiculously frustrating. I don't mind dying and having to run back, but returning to your bind point is just crappy. Call me a "carebear," but it's really turning a lot of people away to get killed, have to run literally 20 minutes back to where you were, just to get killed by the same group of people again. With the classes as unbalanced as they are right now, it's really aggravating... I'm a monk and I can't kill any class period. Hopefully it will change at higher levels and once things get less populated....
And PVP in towns is stupid. Why have guards if they don't do anything? Half the Ebonlore idiots just kill you while you stand at a merchant or while you're banking and have no way to fight back. Speaking of that, coin banking doesn't even work. There need to be more bind stones, because running 20 minutes - an hour (at higher levels, when you get killed and go allll the way back to your housing island, for instance) is not challenging, it's redundant. I must have spent 2 hours of my 8 hours today just running back to where the quests were. (I'm on Martok, so once you're level 10+ and in the way south, it's a bitch to run back to)
Anyways, I realize it's "hardcore," but there's a difference between meaningful FFA PVP and a broken, aggravating gank fest. Just my 2 unbankable copper.

In the beta, I always with my 2 or 4 buddies online and we rarely got ganked, nor did we actually ganked anyone for no apparent reason.
FFA is knowing when to attack, when to make friends or enemies and when to solo.
