Lineage 2...
practically every boss in the game will need like 10+ ppl to kill and thats just the small ones... big boss's like the earth dragon Antharas can take litterally hundreds, EASILY...

BigPeeler,
I have to ask you though.... Did it ever happened at all that Antharas got killed by raids?
I've not heard anyone did that yet.
In the last video footage it looked like not even couple of hundreds l33tz weren't enough to take it down....
What is funny about Lineage 2 fan is that...
What MMORPG would be great for someone that love raids...
They answer Lineage2....
Then someone ask, in which game can you be a real hero and never need to raid to reach the top of the grouping system, and they again answer Lineage2.
Let me do a test with them.
What flavor of Icecream is best?
*Expect to hear lineage2*

I should probably know better then to respond to your post Anofalye but Its a slow day at work so here goes.
If your curious what type of game L2 is and how important the raiding aspect is I think I can answer to some degree, though I haven't played the really high end content. My opinion is based on what I have read and looking at listings of what drops what equipment, how often, and whats required to kill it.
If you want to have the top end equipment in L2 you will need to be in a strong clan capable of some serious raiding imo. Things like Godsblades are not going to be assessable by single groups. In this respect it is similar to EQ that the strongest clans will raid the hardest stuff and be the best equiped.
I don't really see how anyone can answer your second statement/question...
"Then someone ask, in which game can you be a real hero and never need to raid to reach the top of the grouping system"
What does being a "real hero" mean to you? Being a real hero would probably be defined different by most people you asked the question of so maybe you can explain some more.
What does "reach the top of the grouping system" mean? Can you level all the way to max level and be valuable to a group without ever raiding? Yes, I believe you can similar to EQ again. Will people who have raided have better equipment and be able to kill stuff faster or survive longer? I would say almost definitely yes, once again similar to EQ if that helps put it in perspective.
If you want a game where you can accomplish the hardest in game tasks and get the best equipment with small parties then I would say Lineage 2 is not that type of game and one you probably wouldn't enjoy at the very high levels.
Hopefully that helps. If not feel free to broadly insult everyone who plays the game again.
Well, I'm not sure if this exactly suits your needs, but Final Fantasy XI sort of fits your description.
With normal monsters, unless you are a beastmaster, you normally need parties of 5-6 (6 is the full amount) to take on monsters to gain good experience, and then as you continue on, when you try to take on these extremely hard monsters (Limbo areas they are called in the game) I heard you need to form parties of 50+ to take out the monsters, and most of those characters in there are in their high 60s and low 70s (max level is 75). So maybe that suits your style.
the game decreases detail and polygon count after certain amounts of players start to hit the screen...
also theres a bunch of graphic option in the option menu to run it quite smoothly... if u watch a couple of the raid video's u'll notice hardly any lag at all...

I was in CoH closed beta, and the devs had all of us gather in one spot. There was hundreds of people all together, flying and casting spells and there was virtually no lag. So I would have to say CoH.

Well, it was not an insult, but a fact. Folks say groups are well encouraged in L2, it is not, and you are clear and honest for a change compare to most players and dev that keep saying stuff like EQ is solo friendly and so on when it is not.
Sorry if folks feel insulted Never was the intent, was a reaction to comments of folks saying to play L2 or how much EQ is group oriented when in fact, it is not.
For the other poster. Yeah, maybe FF XI would do it, but my computer dont support it and I wont spend 2k on a computer with the devs saying they add raiding feature knowing of their links to EQ!
Hehe, so I am rude and insulting everyone? *grin* I never see myself as such or even consider it that way, will try to be more carefull in my answers, but someone saying L2 or EQ is group oriented will not receive my praises. Group oriented/friendly mean that the high end grouping belong to groupers and to nobody else, challenges can be made anywhere, and for me the 12+ players things is really not my cup of tea. And saying the highest challenges only come in those stuff is been oblivious to what challenges is. Challenges can come in a raiding form, it dont necessarily need to come in that form althought, yet, for devs, it is a lot easier to put challenges with minimal work in those forms, granted.
