Is it worth it?

in Final Fantasy XI

I'm planning to play FFXI - or rather was until I met this forum lol a lot of people seem to be going against FFXI! I'm just looking for some input - is it worth spending the money and time to play? A lot of people also seem to be having trouble getting used to the system that FFXI revolves around - is it really THAT confusing?

Personally for the other Final Fantasy games i've really liked and thought it'd be great to test the online version and see how they made the gameplay for this. Heh, i'm still totally stuck on FFX right now though [Yeah i know i'm a bit slow - it came out a while ago]

Just looking for some input before I decide if I should buy the game.

    Are you a masocist?  Dude, dont start another one of these threads, theres like 15 other threads almost identical to this one.  Just look in the FFXi forum.

    Ive tried many MMORPGs and I will have to say this is my favorite. Buying this game may lose you $20.00 (going by the fact you can sell your used copy for $30.00 or more on ebay, the game new costs $50) Most of these posts are negative, because the positive people feel no need (or something) to put positive input into the game. Most other forums are like this one, I would suggest asking a friend who has the game if you could try it out. IMO, its a good MMORPG image.
