Dragon Empires: Barely 24 Hours Left!

In a little more than a day away - MMORPG.COM will be selecting the 20 lucky winners for our Dragon Empires beta contest!  Here are some quick notes on this contest:

  • Per our new rules, this drawing will be at 9PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) tomorrow (April 15, 2004)
  • We will draw 40 (FOURTY) tickets...only the first 20 (TWENTY) who claim their tickets will win the prize, the remaining people will win nothing
  • Tickets will be e-mailed to your registered e-mail account AND your MMORPG.COM mail account.  Because the MMORPG.COM mail servers are local (fast) and have no spam-filtering...we recommend checking here first.
  • Because of high-traffic loads slamming our primary servers during the past few contests we have decided to move the critical contest pages to an off-domain server.  This will include the page where ticket winners claim their prizes and where I will initiate the drawings and e-mails.  This way traffic loads won't affect a members odds at winning.
  • IMPORTANT: Because the ticket claim page will be on a different sub-domain - you will have to enter your username and password (auto-logins won't work because browser cookies are domain-specific) - so make sure that if you use our auto-login feature that you still know what your username and password are!  If you have forgotten your password you can use our password lookup tool by clicking here.

    Doesnt matter. The chance of you winning is like 1:800?

    Not sure how many signed up. I'm not getting my hopes up but if i see that ticket in my mail I will freak heh

    I have seen many of these contests take 2-12 hours for all the winners to claim (hence the reason we do this - becaues if we drew the exact amount it takes days to track down the last slacker!)

    So I would guess if you DID win - you would likely be able to claim as long as you got up early that day :)

    Current odds of being one of the 40 ticket holders are: 195:1 (and much higher depending on how many bonus tickets you earned by logging into our site in the past 30 days!)

    I'm not a odds calculating master, but I believe that if you had the max amount of bonus tickets (5) your odds would be something like 39:1.

    Now granted, that is still like betting on a number in Roulette and hitting it straight up image

    got me very confused...

    Will all 40 mails be sent out at the said time?
    It's around 3 am here too, so I can stay up but I don't feel like waiting for too long.

    Yes, e-mails will go out at 9PM EST.  (give or take a few mins)  But even if they go out a few minutes late - they always go out together as to be fair image

    Yeah, good luck to everyone.

    It will be 3 a.m. here but I've already set the alarm clock, the worst case scenario would be getting the mail but being such a slacker that one didn't get a ticket.

    I did recieve a mail, and I got pretty excited but it was mailer@mmorpg.com telling me about your post... not very nice... image
