  How is a graphics update going to improve the game design?

  UO is wrecked.

  Give us classic pre-Renaissance servers.

  Ah i didnt say it was going to Improve the game Design...I Simply said it would bring more players..And explain to me how UO Is wrecked its been awhile...ive heard something about PvP being gimped almost out of the game?

  Welcome back I personaly wouldn't wait for the expansion since all the good content is end game. Just get a templet and train him and come spring you'll be ready for UOKR. PvP is about champ spawns now. Basically you make a PvP templete and join a raiding guild and go crash Champ Spawns. It's pretty fun and you can become a millionare doing it. You can also go to Yew Moongate people should be dueling there well at least I always see people on Atlantic. And theirs rumors of them changing a few things that wil change the game design. We are also getting a new race though they should just release garg, juka, meer, orcs, and dwarves all at the same time. I DONT CARE ABOUT LORE AT THIS POINT JUST GIVE ME THE OPTION!!! Even use 1 armor/weapon graphic for them at release. And hopefully they will clean up some mess of previous expansions. Like stats for race, tokuno being worthless, loot, virtues, factions, the many skills we can train in game yet have no purpose, PvP in the seas(with cannons), tamer pets, seahorses(that go into the secret island), and crafting UO will be the wow killer.

  I MISS IT TOO, A TON, BUT MOST PEOPLE GET OVER DEAD FAMILY MEMBERS FASTER!!!

  BTW, yes I will be coming back to UO after 3 years absence! Don't really care about the new graphics I'm just bored and wanna relive some ol' times.

  well LOL u wanna know how pvp is like now?...its basically 1v3-4-5-6 pks and so on OR 10-20 good guys waiting outside a house of the pk with 4-5 of em inside....with bushido and chivalry skills if you dont have good resistance or parry etc you'll die in 2-3 hits...if you cant cast fast enough you'll die, and if u engage a pk first you cant teleport out  ( pks runs inside their houses to hide but you either run far away and hope he dont kill you to escape) so its kill or be killed...

  one good or bad thing comes out of this....pk's do fight pk's ( because its brag rights whose pk guild is top dog )
  
  also havoc-pk is correct pk's do like ganking other players during champ spawns and then taking over meaning they get the loot for most or all of your work....

  so to sum things up MOST pk's dont fight alone (i know good guys dont either) and if they do fight alone and kill you and many other people 1v1 or 1v2-3-4 for that matter they are pretty good...but i dont see much of those around because what fun is it if u cant kill people with your friends right? but yea thats just my opinion on pvp...

  like i say to many PK's u wanna a real fight? make a new char set you skills put on crap armor and a gm weapon and then fight me, if you're as good as u claim to be u can beat me that way no problem (thats what u call real skills), but if u cant you depend too much on items and weapons....

  Well, PvP is screwed up atm. You said other mmorpg's are all item based. Well UO is as well today. At least, on the pvp side of things. PvP is totally screwed up. Factions is dead, and the rest of pvp is 2 or 3 guys at the yew moongate running around like headless chickens, killing everything they see ... For fun ... Item insurance makes sure they cannot loot anything, so its totally meaningless. Except for champ spawns, where some fun battles play out every once in a while.

  Other then that, a lot of content is added, and in PvM items don't matter to the extent they do in pvp. I'm having a lot of fun in PvM, even though i used to be a fellucca only player. I'd say give the game a go if you feel curious. Chances are you'll be pleasantly suprised.

  Bah, it sounds like what DAoC degenerated into. Atleast in DAoC, stealth classes have a fighting chance. I'll just have to wait and see when I resub to UO.

  well to give ya a more neutral and balanced look at pvp , pvp is stil extremely fun and well suited for uo. However, ea has made it slightly worse than it used to be. There is an imbalance in templates. there are about 2-3 really amazing templates that are like fads. Every few months, ea decides to nerf them, then another template rules. However i have managed fine in pvp with the same template for 3 years on my main(who has 4k murder counts atm). It is very organized now and you definitely can not solo it.  In my experience atleast there are still some huge fights between guilds if you know where to go such as some gh or yes champs.  Yew pvp along wioth most of it has changed into ganking based.  However, it is ussually about 5 reds going for one blue target against about 30 or so blues.  or about 20 reds on each side going for targets. It is still very fun, however, has become far more challenging. And like all of the expansions, it will bring in more people, however, few of those people will end up staying for more than a few months, b/c the added content gets boring and redundant after a few months. This is also combined with the lack of ea support for anything until a year later with the next expansion.  I also took a 3 day old character with 70 archery 30 stelth  and nothing besides bushido gmed perma red, thats what i call skill : P. I also know many good characters that do not use amazing items, however you are forced to in order for your character to be on the same level as those you are facing. I have had reds for years, and i wasnt always rich, so i was fighting people with 100 mil plus suits with a 5 mil - suit and i did fine. Of course i do better with my 120 m suit tho
