Some of the haters of this game . I dont understand why they dont give it a real shot. They say they dont like it yet they play a game that has an end. They continue to bash a game that technically hasnt even launched yet. I come from a strong guild who played several games www.signofone.net  if we were playing a game and didnt give it a good try why would we even bother to buy it. These people act as if they have seen the full content of the game . We havent even broken the surface and what awaits hell I dont care I just cant wait to see it.

Another thing I want to smack the people that say the game has no Immersion. Last night a friend of mine were just out exploring and we headed south west from Lomshir as we were walking through a canyon the size of the Grand Canyon we stumbled apon some quests . We quickly knocked them out and headed farther SW as we walked around the bend in the road you see a MASSIVE wall in the distance. It was breath taking and I wanted to see what was behind it. If thats nor Immersive then what is? I dislike haters for they hate to be heard not to be considered. If you have a chance swing by and check us out. http://www.freepowerboards.com/vanguardsoh/vanguardsoh.html

I am one of those haters , maybe my expertations were to high at the start , I hoped so bad that this was it , my new home for the next few years  but after playing the Beta  I cried relizing that game was EQ 1.5  & had nothing new to offer . But I will give it another go in say 6 Months if they have a trial version as i won't spend cash on something I didnt like in the first place.. For now I am playing a Free MMORPG called Rappelz  the graphics are average "think Original Eq1 "  But I am having more fun than i did in Vanguard ..

Yeah, I agree. I played Beta 5 and was a little hesitant to try it because of the server issues. I was bummed because I enjoyed the game play. I good mix between the good things from EQ, EQ2, and WoW with a few of their own twists. Well, I purchased the pre-release and have been playing on the live servers and I will tell you that the Beta servers were definitely just test servers. The live servers are night and day compared to them and anyone who was hesitant due to the condition of the Beta servers should try again.

Yes the immersion is great seeing mobs with big blue "Stuck" signs above their head.  As your body twitches as if you have some terrible disease when trying to turn around in a city.  Running up to a NPC who is supposed to finish your quest but won't talk to you.  Or a stick in your inventory that your supposed to poke a npc with but all you end up doing is petting it rather than enraging it.  As you have to repeat the same quest 5 times because it can't remember that you already did it last time you logged in.  Or how all my clothes look like rags, the rocks look like big blobs with white or yellow blobs in them.  How mobs weapons swing miles above your head but still hit you.  Or your weapons swings at a mob from a mile away and still hits them.  Mobs walking through solid objects, etc...

So what that you saw a big wall and was able to run up to it.  Whoopteedoo.

Let's just face the facts, this post was actually a thread to promote your website.

aww but its such a nice website! i havent played vanguard online yet... but hey! it looks fun! and i liked EQ2. so if it is remotely better then that. ill be satisfied. hopefully it would be WAAAAAAAY better then EQ2 but well see now, wont we? and one more thing. the things that you are describing ARE BETA BUGS! RELEASE they should be gone. within a week, DEVS work their asses off the first month with fixing glitches. and they have over 100 people workin on fixing it. ya think it might be fixed in a week or two time? uh yes.

    Thats all his posts are...

More on topic, I'm glad to hear the servers are night and day different from the beta servers.  I played since beta 4 and even with an 8800 gpu it was tough on my system.

Most people don't realize that betas of games are supposed to be laggy, buggy and stressed out.  Also most people expect a finished product instantly and put their hopes up to high.  You have to flow with it and grow with the development to enjoy the game.  To start a flame war on a game that is in beta is kind of irrelevant and stupid I must say.

Wow there are definelty some haters of this game out there.  I say if you hate it, go play the other game that tickles your fancy and don't troll these post with your crap.  I for one am quite impressed with this game, even though it is a bit buggy at the moment.   I have never seen any new mmo's be perfect upon release... Quite frankely expecting a brand new game to run as well and be a bug free as a mature (2+ year old ) mmorpg is just crazy.

Let me tell you some good things abou this game.

Very big seemless world with great artistic direction and intresting things to see and go to.

Diverse classes required to group together (hence the name mmorpg) after level 10 or so.  Intresting abilities and intreguing stratigies tied into spell.

Clean WoWesque UI that is simple to use, but hides a lot of options.

Interesting new crafting setup w/ individual armor and items exclusive to crafting

Diplomacy is in there too, and it involves an intresting card like game.

All in all, I'm inpressed and I think its definetly worth checking out.

Well if things like a big wall are what make the game immersive to you, there is little to argue.
