  At this stage in the "game", its mainly the people who preordered and love the game who voted. Give it a few weeks and look again to see where it stabilizes.

  WoW is barely up there. Not even the players of WoW like the game.

  Why do you think the numbers are wrong?  Vanguard is def better than EQ2, I didn't play EVE so not comment there.  The very vocal group of people who are giving the game negative feedback are mostly people with graphical problems.  The game is fairly demanding as far as system reqs, and people tend to get very bent out of shape when the find out their PC is subpar.  The release has been pretty smooth so far, with less than usual crashes and downtime when compared to other MMO launches.  There are some bugs with quests, recipes, abilities, ect. but nothing too bad, and they are fixing them pretty quickly.  With the new animations, voiceovers, ambient sounds, and much higher population of mobs, the game is off to a great start.  I think the user rating af this game are right on!!!

  Everytime a new MMO gets released it gets top votings here. Then people find out that the game has also it's drawbacks and it goes down again. Been the same with WoW and Guild Wars.
  
  
  
  I am not saying that Vanguard is a bad game or not deserving the rating. Just give it a few months to settle in and you will see the final score.

  I too was shocked, considering it was hyped at 7.0.   Also, after reading the comments I got the impression there was about a 50/50 split between people who liked the game and didn't.    So being totally honest here, It makes me wonder.

   

  If this was your site, and SOE called you on the phone and made $ome $ugge$tion$ about what the user rating should be this month...

  You cannot trust any of the ratings on this site. They are all highly biased to an extensive degree. If you want more reliable ratings you should check a more credible site.

  Game support handeled by SOE? yes it is. then you go on  to list that its higher the EvE and EQ2..um EQ2's game support is also handeled by SOE as EQ2 is a SOE developed game.

  Ratings on MMORPG are not reliable and are subject to organized efforts to bump the numbers.

  V:SoH is pretty much the same game as EQ2, and of the same position in the real community of MMORPG players.

  V:SoH was rushed to release a year to early with massive defects, unfinished content, empty worlds, crash bugs, and so forth.  A release that almost perfectly mirrors the rush-out release of EQ2 two years ago.

  The numbers on this site for V:SoH are from the concerted efforts of SoE employees, Sigil employees, and V:SoH fans to make the game seem much more accepted that it really is.   Note that this game launched as part of SoE All Access, certainly not a good sign for the future of the game, but a fantastic way to pump up the 'subscriber' numbers.

  A year from now, V:SoH will be getting the same 're-design' treatment that SWG and EQ2 have gotten as SoE starts to bear down hard on the difficulty and not-fun factors of the game.  Sadly, the entire game is 'not-fun', so good luck to them with that!

  So, purchase V:SoH, if you wish.  But don't expect anything more than what is currently available with EQ2.  And in some areas, a whole lot less than what is available with EQ2.  And for serious PvP, EVE rules all.   The ultimate 'hardcore' game.

  Vanguard is better than all those other games IMO but don't worry it won't be at the top of the ratings for long. Wait till the EVE fans catch wind of this. Look for approximately 32k new accounts to be opened on MMORPG.com voting EVE at 10 and VG at 1.

  Isnt it funny when u look to the left at released games and games in development  ----Vanguard is still in the "Games in Development" section.
