    $50 for normal version.

    $90 for collectors editiobn.

    $15 a month.

$25 a month for station pass, which includes EQ, EQ2, Planetside, SWG, etc.

Yes, play it now. It's good.

If you're idea of good implies forced grouping, no instancing (harsh social dynamics between players who are automatically in a e-peen competition for SOME rewards), extra order of grind, harsher death penalty and finnally, a game where rewards outmatch the need for fun, where efforts replace fun, level gaps grouping-prevention between friends, and an obligation to partake in EVERY gameplay in order to progress in ANY gameplay past a point...

If that is your idea of fun...then you are entitled to think it is a good game.

IMO it isn't worth 6.5; yet you have the initial rush of fans who feel a duty to create multiple accounts and rate it high.  The rating will drop when the EVE fans get bothered and annoyed up to the point to counter it.

So far I've had a blast, but I'm not really much of a diplomat or crafter.  I can see where you might require adventuring ranks to advance these.  I'm a dungeon crawler, and so far they look great.

I would at least like to try it, but odds are I probably wont be hopping on board as I'm waiting for something else and am tied into another game atm with someone. I'm sure as hell not going to get it before trying it out via some free trial or something. Unfortunately, I missed the open beta due to lack of interest and only saw scattered parts of it during its worse days of closed beta through a friend.

Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts.

Not if you're based in EU. US servers are up and running - EU players are stuck in limbo atm. It aint fun and definately not worth paying for right now. Something to consider, sorry.. just had to vent somewhere :D

going on that too yes it is a little harder but its not as harsh as this guy seems to think my idea of a MMO is a challenge im tired of being Spoon fed as you are in WoW day 1 level 1 day 20 level 60 and nothing to do, when u think about it the harder it is the more fullfilling the rewards right? this game i think will be the best mmo of its time , and no you are not forced to group there is plenty of solo content i have only been in a group once so far and currently level 20, the quest are set up like wow sorta easy to read waypoints and good exp and better rewards =) the death penalty WHAT! harsh ? not really yes you do lose exp when u die from a NPC but you get it back when u reloot ur corpse? how is that harsh... PvP is real good and u dont lose exp or anything else for dying in pvp except 15% of ur money ur carrying well solution BANK you money =) also it is a level 50 can attack a level 7 but they gain no benefit for it you dont lose anything for someone that is higher level then u by 2 or 3 levels i think crafting and diplomacy is real fun i mean wen u harvest wood u actually Chop down a Tree!! but if you rather enjoy the Spoonfed world that todays MMOs are offering then yes this game is not for you. i loved WoW when i first got it then i got bored real fast when i realized the entire comunity was at max level and everyone was fighting for the same exact gear!

Hello Erezzz, I can only tell you that i find the game totally awesome . the quests are about the same as any mmo ive played the world is huge and beautiful i can do better than just tell you with my mouth like all the soe hating people that seem to be the first posts in any tread on Vanguard . Private message me and all give you a buddy key so you can check it out yourself  the game is leading edge so it can be a beast to run but just take the time to tweak the vid settings , like shadows and the clouds are a major hit

And i highly suggest play a one class from each  continent and check out crafting i love it and am already making lots of coin from it

The 8.4 rank...you have to realize that the game was released yesterday in retail and MMORPG.com has cleared the old hype ratings to put in the new "rating" score for a released game.  There have only been 106 votes so far.

Right now (in my opinion) the only ones that are rating the game are the rabid fans.  If you want to see how the real ratings shake out then wait a few weeks.

Many of us who were very critical of the game in beta and have decided not to buy it will not rate a game we are'nt playing.  At least I won't. It would'nt be fair to the honest rating of a game.

So....take the ratings with an extreme grain of salt.

You either love Vanguard or you hate it.

I started with high fantasy D&D first edition. . .I like old pen and paper D&D, Baldurs Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights. . .

If you share those interests there is a good chance you will like it too.
