Most mmo's are based around classes, leveling and loot.

How are they going to make a class system?.

How is leveling going to have meaning?.

What kind of world drops, armor, weapons, loot, player economy will there be.

I think the game is going to have to be very loosely based on the show as the template just isnt very compatible.

Most MMo's are all carbon copy's. Blah who want's another " OK healers protect the tank, macros on auto loop, ok going to watch TV, call me on Teamspeek  if needed..."

Ohh I wanna play a SG team member, shame i need to be level 30 to equip a P90, after all it's so different than an M4

Many MMO's 'get boring after a while'with the same old same old. Here's a thought develop something new, for a new game......

If you go by teh TV show and movie, you would start off with a HK MP-5, then level up to a FN P-90.

You know it could work out though.  A lot of SG fans that do not really play MMO's might get into it.  Some of you who who think its just the same old same old might even love it. I myself will wait until i have played it before stating whether I think it is good or not.

I reject your reality and substitute it with my own.

I think of all the worlds to build from out there, the Stargate universe has an incredible wealth of material to work with. More than any other MMO on the market.

All MMORPGs work from a single world. The Stargate universe has THOUSANDS of worlds to explore. So, Stargate wins. Hands down. This game will never, ever run out of material to build from.

Exactly. In a way I guess it would be kind of like the Whole Planes of Power Expansion from EQ. But with so many worlds it will truely be endless. It is just something that if done needs proper time to actually work right.  I could just see it now.  If they can make it a table top why not an MMO it worked with D&D.

I thought about this for a little bit....

Thousands of worlds means thousands of expansions! LOL

But hey, I don't mind. I want a thousand expansions because I would buy every single one of them. And I'd be the happiest MMORPGer on Earth ...er, Abydos, ...er, PCX-801, ...er, uh, Chulac...

    ...oh, you get it!

I have not heard of this MMO until just now.  I must say this is an interesting concept.  Best of luck to the development.
