Ok so if you shell out for the limited edition you get 1 of 3 cards that will give you a special cloak that will give you bonuses or some such.
1) Are these bonuses good? Like is there a noticable difference?
2) Do you get 2 pick the card? Cos if I get teh dipolmacy one im going to hit the roof.
3) Does the cloak look cool? if not again im gunna go spare!?!? better not make me look fat!

Last time I tried to /claim my stuff it didnt work, it wasnt even loaded into the fucking game. . .so I buy the Collector's Edition of VG and I get an access key that gives me the crafter card. . .but I cannot use it because some moron that thought up the idea didn't follow through and actually have the stuff ready upon release.
I think this one is Sigil's fault. . .slacking as usual.

I would guess the item is soulbound so you cant trade it.

You don't get to pick the type you get.
What happens is it's tied to your game key. For example, I opened up my dvd case and there was the Eila the Crafter card, with my game key on it. It's not a seperate key you enter, but the same key you use to create/register your account. So when you register your account, you'll automatically get the cloak for whatever card it is your game key happens to be printed on.
For the Crafters, it's an "Artisan's Apron", I'm logging in currently to try and claim it, I'll let you know on look/stats after I manage that.

Actually Syn, theoretically you could trade cards with someone, but that would mean trading account keys before you'd used it. So it would require a certain level of trust, you'd be trading cdkeys, and you only get the 1.
On the topic of the cloak, yes you can claim it now. It looks pretty cool, mine's a solid grey/back. It's got the cool silver badges where it attaches to look all official and everything (like most other cloaks). It does have a hood.
Stats wise I'd say it's pretty good. It goes in the apron/cloak slot. The crafter one has +1 to all 4 crafting stats, +9 to using tools and tables and utilities. It's also a 30 slot container, which is pretty handy.
It's Unique, No Drop, Soulbound, No Sell.
Called the "Pocketed Artisan's Apron".
Personally I think it's pretty good stats wise. Probably useful up though mid-level crafting. I wouldn't be surprised if it was useful even up to max level of crafting.

Gunna be so pissed if I dont get the combat cloak.
Also as a side point. Do you get the fireworks wand/horse shoes of speed with the Limited edition? or just if you pre ordered?
I think one item was pre-order, cant remember which exactly, might be the scroll.

Apparently two batches of cards have not been entered into the database, a GM said try /claim every time you log in after a patch.
Hopefully by friday it should be sorted or failing that next week.

"Slacking as usual" lol, their first game was just released. There's no 'usual' to go from.
I talked to people in OOC and only a small fraction had any problem claiming their items.
The Diplomats cloak is called Speakers Mantle, and gives +3 tpresence o 4 different presences.(Noble, Soldier, Crafter, and Domestic, I think)
The adventurer's cloak is called Cloak of Telon's Finest, and gives +1 to all stats, +16 hp +16 energy, and 65 armor class.
I think diplomats kinda got shafted on their cloak, I think the Crafting cloak is the best over the adventuring cloak only by a small margin, and that's because it's a 30 slot container.

Crap I am now bummed that we do not get to chose which ingame Card we want. Up to Sigil, SOE, & pure dumb luck, yikes. I pre-ordered (2) of the Vanguard Collector's just because I wanted to try to eventually play (2) accounts with (1) Diplomacy card & (1) Crafting card for each account. "Set yourself free" ha ha Sigil & SOE are already coercing the customers again. Sad too since it would've served for better relations to allow the customers/players the choice.
I might return my Collector's to Best Buy when I get them now, I'll have to research a bit more about V:SoH
Register your key after you log in. Edit your billing information and then typer /claim in game and there will be instructions.
On a side note are there even any other cloaks in the game? I dont think anyone has found a cloak or a helm yet. . .

If I get anything other than the adventurer cloak I will be complaining to a Gm. Id advise any1 else who is unhappy to do the same.

I saw today that Best Buy was beginning the shipping process for my (2) V:SoH CEs. I'm still bummed that Sigil would not allow customers the choice of which ingame card we wanted. Not teh end all of the game decision, but a good indicator of how Vanguard will be handled by Sigil & SOE since eeriely familiar to some of SOE's previous tactics. Post facto, I understand the deception now of omitting the fact that the ingame cards wouldn't be allowed to be chosen. They didn't even want to state the (3) bonus cards would be random because they know that would've hurt CE sales. Perhaps Sigil will loosen their own leash SOE has on them & decide to indeed allow us customers the choice. "Set yourself free." seems funny now & Vanguard is only a couple of days old already. I'm not totally dismissing V:SoH yet, but I still might return my (2) V:SoH CEs when they are delivered then wait till Vanguard becomes more stable. So far I'm dubbing Vanguard:SoH to be knownst as "EQ3" throughout Telon.
