StarWars Galaxies Pre-Cu Voting on LucasArts.com !!!

in SWG Veteran Refuge

Before you read on: I'm a pre-cu veteran and won't return to this game, even if they rollback to pre-cu because I simply hate Sony Online Entertainement and everything they represent since the NGE disaster.

I just wan't everyone to vote on LuasArts.com to let them know what we think about the developement progress of SWG during the last few years.

on the right of the morrons page you see a "Member Poll" about Star Wars Galaxies and you can vote which version is/was your favorite Star Wars Galaxies adventure, "SWG Empire Devidied - The Original Game" or everything that came after it.

You don't even have to login to vote ! So please everyone go to that page and vote for "StarWars Galaxies - The Original Game" if you prefered it.

61 % votet for Star Wars Galaxies - The original Game so far.

    The NGE isn't even in the list... It's not really a Pre-Cu poll just a poll about the expansions.

     Actually there was a major nerf/combat revamp with every expansion. JTL had the Jedi revamp/nerf, ROTW had the CU, TOOW had the NGE.

    Lucas Arts will not figure out or want to deal with what people think of the NGE... even they know how bad this worked out.

    Like saying people would think the mooninites were bombs in boston...

    Well technically, "Empire Divided" was the game name before the first Combat Upgrade (nothing to do with NGE) so whether the question is for content/expansion or game system is irrelevant as the two go hand in hand. With the exception of JTL, all expansions had a naming convention change on the box. I would interpret the options as Pre-CU, Pre-CU + space, CU and NGE.

    I went and voted for the original release.  I miss that game.

    When i got SWG, it was the original game. JTL made it a better game for me...then slowly the shit hit the fan

     

    NGE was not the game i bought, and SOE didnt even ask me

    I wish it would tell how many people had voted.

    also, I know some people are going to want to multi-vote to skew the results, but I think a better idea is just to make sure that all your friends and old guild mates know about the poll. I suspect that although they are not putting a cookie on your machine, they probably have a way to determine how many votes come from different IP addresses, and I don't want them to have anything that they could use to blow off the results.

    I think it is peculiar that they are having this type of poll. Their core game didn't get better or worse with these expansions(Except for the weapons from ToOW taking away crafter business and insta-travel with JTL ships rater than shuttles). I think this is a way to see what game version(NGE,CU,Pre-CU) people liked best without asking what game version they liked best.
