Eh i didn't play too much of the beta. The exp flow seems pretty nice though. If it's any faster i fear i'd miss out on keeping up with my armor and weapons and crafting and such. Good thing about it is though that it doesn't increase ALOT every new lvl i remember some games that going from 50-55 was just as hard as getting to 50 in the first place. thats not very fun lol

Ah, AC2
I was playing Vanguard last night and yeah, maybe its a little slower but getting to lvl 7 while doing crafting & harvesting in no particular rush seems fine.
Yeah, its going to slow down but I want to play this game, not "finish" it in a couple of months.
Currently Playing:GW2 Currently Following:Elder Scrolls Online Games in my wake:Anarchy Online, Archlord (beta), Asherons Call, Asherons Call 2, City of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot (SI to Catacombs), DDO, EVE Online, EverQuest II (beta), Guild Wars, Horizons, Lineage II,LORTO, Rift, RF Online (beta), RYL, Saga of Ryzon, Shadowbane, Star Wars Galaxies, Vanguard, WAR, WoW
I'm kind of mixed on the speed of the game. For me it's going at an ok pace, but I'm also crafting so my time has been split. For others in my guild they are zipping along quite well. I think one of them hit level 17 already. It might be a bit too fast yet, but I'm sure more adjustments are around the corner.
The only way to get real xp (and equipment, for that matter) is by doing quests. Last night I lost a bunch of xp dying and told my buddy that I needed to go do some quests to catch up. I'd say completing a very simple, 5 minute quest gives you xp equivalent to killing perhaps 30 mobs. So yes, xp (and equipment) for simple quests is way too high. Or xp for killing mobs is too low.
Quests make this game very soloable, at least at the lower levels.
Luckily, i don't need you to like me to enjoy video games. -nariusseldon. In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit
What Xp nerf are you talking about? There has been no adjustment to the XP since beta since they raised it after many people complained it was too slow. I am 20+ and I think its at a very good level now. We don't want another WOW paced game.
I don't know where you're getting this info from, but there was NO EXP NERF, or adjustment of any kind to EXP since beta. You should really read the patch notes before you make wild accusations about the game...
Too fast is no good but too slow isn't good either. You don't want to level up real fast but needing a ton of exp sucks even more.
This game is nothing like WoW, here you have a nice choice of professions. I'm sure many players will want to experience most of them and not get stuck having to spend, waste time grinding on forever on one character because it takes that long to level up. You level up then move on and do the same to another profession, race where you'll experience different towns and quests. You'll get to savor all the worlds instead of doing mindless grinding on huge levels with just one character because it takes too long to level up.
As you move along gaining exp you have alot to do so it's not like if you level up fast or at medium speed you won't have nothing to do. That's the good part about Vanguard, the choices are huge and many.
A medium pace will suffice as far as leveling and certainly having to endlessly grind is not what players look for and this is what happens when you gain exp slowly.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Awesome
I also don't like games where it takes 5 months to go from level 49 to 50.
That's just an obscene timesink with no practical gameplay value to the player.
