Ya it is way fun when you first start playing.  Then you get a groups that just rush through and blow dungeons out in 10 miuntes.  Plus the city is just ugly as crap.  That whole area is just brown.

yea i know that i might get bored of the game once i have played a bit longer.. but the clearing dungeons under 10 min has already been done by most party's i have been in.. of course maybe you mean bigger dungeons? im guessing that the dungeons get bigger further ahead? or is the short / medium / long   the same for all dungeons? like for example lets say, short takes 2-5 minutes, medium 6-11 minutes and long 12-20 min .. will these be the approximate time always for short / medium / long ? or is there dungeons that are longer then "long" ? ... sorry if this post is kinda confusing

Long dungons take any where from 45 mins. to over an hour.

I played it for the trial period, and it was actually fun.  I decided not to get it though, because it was obvious that it was quickly becoming repetative, even on teams.  Creating an alt was no good, because the missions stayed exactly the same -- the secret doors were in the same place, the traps were in the same place, etc.  I thought that a mage would have different missions from a fighter, but that wasn't how it worked.

Overall though, it is a nice little game that has a lot of room to build on.  It really needs areas added outside the city walls where you can just roam around and explore.  That's what D&D was about on PnP...exploring dungeons, haunted forests, castles, keeps, whatever.

yeah thats what im worried about and think could be a big flaw of the game, repeativeness (probably spelled that wrong)

yea you can say all games are repetetive and that would be true... but so far all that i have seen that the game has is the fun of doing dungeons. i read somewhere they are implementing crafting? i thought it was in there but later ... too bad there isnt there yet.

in the end... the game is fun but i have only played for a few days so i cant really act like a professor about the whole game yet ^^ ... anyway.. i think there is hope for the game if they start adding more stuff to do? that about being able to go out and exploring forests and castles and so on would be awesome xD

As with any game you will eventually get bored.   There is only so much content in any game then it really comes down to the people that you play with.  MMO's are best played with guilds in groups or you might as well be playing a single player ofline game.  Thats why you hook up to the internet is to connect with others.  The best thing that you can do is keep track of the players that your playing with and if alot of them are from a certain guild ask to join.    The fun parts of DDO are partying with people you enjoy playing with and watching your character develop by the choices that you make.   DDO offers as good or better individualization of your characters as any game on the market.   You can really make unique characters.    With all the feats, multiclassing and ability atributes with different races the possibilities are many.   With alot of other games when you hit the level cap you really are not that different from any other character, thats not the case with DDO.

To keep the fun part going make sure that you take an active role in creating groups.  If you don't want to be with someone that rushes through content that you haven't played through, be specific in your LFM requests.    All the tools are in place to get the types of players that you want to play with.   The same is for veterens that are trying to create an alt to get to the high end content.   They obviously don't want to play with players that want to take their time going through content that they have already been through.

As far as quests go, I bought the WoW xpac to play with some old guild friends and I am still amazed that some people even try to compare WoW quests and DDO quests.    I started the new BE race and played a palidan.   I am level 15 and I have not done one quests that is even close to anything other then kill x number of mobs y times, collect x number y items from z monter or fed ex.   Originally when the game launched I played a human rogue and there is nothing different about the game except the quests are wrapped up in different skins.   When I have grouped up in WoW it is completely different than DDO.   So far it has been blind invites with no tell or request to join.   I have joined and it is usually just to help kill the x number of y monsters quicker.   WoW is a very polished game that has its own unique graphics style but hands down if you enjoy running quests, DDO has WoW beat.   WoW has the exploreable world and crafting that DDO doesn't have at the moment.   You also will not hear near as many Chuck Norris in general chat in DDO.

WoW and DDO are the 2 MMORPG's I have played in the last year.  So after buying the WoW xpac I log in alot less frequently then I do to play DDO and I figured the new xpac would hold my interest long but its not.    Although each time I finish up the quests in an area and go to a new spot I tend to play WoW a bit longer.

I take it you havent been playing long, once you get higher there's some dungeons that take at least an hour no matter how fast you try.
