in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Heh, i just happened to glance on the top 5 mmos yesterday, and Vanguard was on top. Now i just looked at it again about 5 seconds ago, and turns out Vanguard is third. Hmm, i guess a lot of people must be becoming pretty dissapointed. Not that I am, I still haven't tried it out. Not meaning to beg by the way, but if anyone has a spare buddy key and they just have like 1 minute to spare, could you please either PM it to me, or send it in an E-mail to brzezickim@yahoo.com? I would be very grateful, and if you would put your main char's name and server into the e-mail/PM, I would try to pay you back in game in any way I could. Thanks in advance to anyone who sends a key!

    Think of it like this.  Everyone that's a member can rate a game.  What was the top game?  Do you think they want to see their game come second?  Who do you think will score it negative?  Those that don't play it.



    Let's do a little logic.  Game A launches.  Games B, C, D, and E all have players contemplating leaving for Game A.  Some of these players are in your guild and are good players.  You'd hate to see them go.  How are you going to rate Game A?



    Now, you have 4 to 1 competition.  What would you say would be the result if 1000 people in Game A all voted favorably and 4000 people from other games voted unfavorably because they don't want to see their game loose top spot?

    Isn't Yes, and It's awesome fit in the same line?    I accidentally voted yes, and I meant, it's freakin awesome if it matters.

    I see more Vanboys at mmorpg.com forums than any other fanboys, so i dont belive that are 4000 against 1000

    Well I thought about that, and I've re-thought it over, and i've also thought up of another little variable. Most of the people playing Vanguard won't know what mmorpg.com is, and added with what you were saying, then yes. But i also expected that since Vanguard was so anticipated for such a long time and everything, it would have a huge boost of people joining in, and even say if only 35% of all of those people know what mmorpg.com is, that should still be a very large amount of people.

    And with an "Eve" logo next to your name, you would have the right to say that?  I'm not bashing Eve, but it wasn't my type of game.  I've been looking for a space based MMO, but managing money in game is far from anything I want to be doing.



    Also, wouldn't that speak loudly of a game, to have so many people support and love it?  As is the case with Eve?

    I think the EVE Fanbois have gone into hiding latel, that or their skills finished training and they are back to playing.

    Now back to the topic. Well the guy from EVE is right on one point. Currently Vanguard DOES have more people rooting for it then any other game out there except maybe WOW or GW.

    It's fairly obvious all the folks whining about how VG got the top spot decided to rate it even though they never played it.  EVE is at the top again.  Is it the top MMO?  Hell no; because if it was, it wouldn't have only 30k players.  It would have hundreds of thousands or even millions of players.  In all honesty, WoW should be at the top because they have the world MMO market.  Many will argue what that #2 spot should be and I think it should be VG.

    Luckily, i don't need you to like me to enjoy video games. -nariusseldon.
    In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit

    8.3 = 8.3 = 8.3, at least when I took math in college a few years back it was still the same thing.  I'm not sure how this site does their comparisons and how first vs second is decided. But I find it funny that EvE has been rated # 1 for a very long time, and 2 days after V:SoH hits live, its being challenged for the spot. That's nothing to be discouraged about. Just think of how many new games open each month, and then consider how many actually ever make it to the front page of popularity here.

    Yeah, you're right when you say that Vanguard has to be very good to have challenged EVE right when it comes out, while other games that come out are no where close to the top.



    And i hate having to beg again, but really, if ANYONE who is reading this, and I mean ANYONE, has a spare key, please, could you PLEASE send it to me by either sending me a PM from this website, or sending it via e-mail to brzezickim@yahoo.com. Really, please do not think that someone else will do it instead. I see that there is like 200 views on this, and i am sure that atleast ONE of the people that will read this has a spare buddy key. Please just take 2 seconds to just look at your buddy key, send me a PM (which should litterally take only 2 seconds) and just type it in. If you want you can type in your main char's name and server, and I will try as hard as possible to pay you back. Either by giving you in game money, or something else. Please do this, it will not have any negative consequences, I am not asking for money etc. I just want to try out the game before i spend 50 dollars. If you send me a key I will be EXTREMELY grateful!
