Is Bio-Ware making SWG 2?

I have been hearing this rumor ....

for over a year now...It came up again the other day. Rumor has it, they are in fact working on a SWG2 mmorpg.

Anyone hear what Bio-Ware is doing?

    I wouldn't bet on it, but it would certainly be nice. Bioware is on my top 3 list of game developers. I actually still play MDK2 from time to time :-)

    AFAIK, they're currently working on a new Sci-Fi RPG built with the Unreal Engine 3 for XBOX 360, but it has nothing to do with SW.

    They have a title that they've been working on for 3 years now called Dragon Age, think that might be the MMORPG in question(?)

    It's all rumors and speculations.

    I do know Lucas Arts pulled their support of SOE's SWG last year and they are still interested in having a MMORPG made.

    I think (well atleast hope with every fiber of my being) that Bioware gets to do a Star Wars MMO, and no not SWG 2, I think at this point anything we dont want to end up smelling like we need to seperate from what I believe is a total failure on the part of SOE.  Have I even played SWG, yes I played from launch till the nge and even for about 6 months again not to long ago.   My wife knows how badly I would like to see a Star Wars MMO and was shock when I told her after my last round in SWG that I finally removed the game from my computer.  Recently Ive been delving myself back into the likes of KotOR and KotOR 2.  Does Bioware have its faults, sure.  Unless they've jumped ahead of everyone else and hired only autonimous super-beings that know how to please everyone without offending anyone and making the game last longer than the Final Fantasy series.  So anyone that has any REAL say in it I would tell them, you can do no worse if you let Bioware run with a Star Wars MMO than the current.  You might even get more people running to play it than away from it cursing.

    I HIGHLY doubt bioware would be so stupid as to take another starwars idea to MMORPG, since the 1st wasn't that big of a success.. I personally think they'd be better off with a Forgotten Realms related and i believe those heavily disappointed by DDO would happily skip the boat when Bioware was behind the second gen of Forgotten Realms MMORPG.

    I totaly agree a Forgotten realms game would grab a ton of gamers specialy if they can maintain some of the same game mechanics from the solo games.

    I think the latter is highly doubtful considering 1.) how protective they are of the ip 2.) they're still collecting licensing money from SOE no matter how many people player and complain.

    I hear Bio-Ware is in on it. But it is going to be years before anything  comes of it. And thats with no bumps in the road, which there are sure to be some. Possibly some big ones coming soon....

    supposedly they've been working on this mystery MMo since 2005, and rumors speculate (with good reason) that it will be based in the KOTOR era.
