Hello all
First i want to say, and only my opinion, that i find the game very refreshing, a change from the many i've played. Def worth a try. Not taking away from the other good ones ive played IE. EQ2, SoR, etc. After figuring out my router was playing havoc on my Vanguard client, the game is good, even playable on a mid tier comp i have (settings on low)
I recently pre-ordered then bought the collectors edition.
On the box along with online sites like EB games it mentions a 90day sub free, what i didnt know was thats its for the vanguard station access features. Totally caught me off guard when i found out today. Even though i dont mind too much, because it is entertainment im paying for, i feel whoever markets the box, couldve used a clearer definition of that 90day sell. Im not sure if SOE stamped that box and i guess its too late to worry about it now. I write this hoping others dont buy this game for a 90day sub.
After reading the box again it stats:
"Includes a 90-day subscription to Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Station Players TM !"
"station players merges the game world with the world wide web to give players incredible access to their characters, guilds and items"

I think it is funny to see someone ask that dumb ass question or mention that. . .
To be utterly disrespectful to all people who thought that. . .what in gods name would make you think they would offer a Collector's Edition and give you what you would pay for otherwise. . .any moron can figure that they will not give you all of the goodies plus a 3 month subscription to the game for 90 to 100 dollars.
And it said on the box Station Players. . .it said it on the websites Station Players. .If it was the game it woulda said a 90 day ot Vanguard Saga of Heroes.

but to reiterate a little more as i was saying earlier.

I don't really see any reason not to say anything. I am glad he gave people the heads up. . .but for most it is too darn late. They are stuck with the CE, their boxes are opened and the aroma of pig leather has enveloped the room. People don't read between the lines, it happens, for the people who are lucky to read his post because of this and the rest of the bumps you guys are gonna give I salute you, but for the most part it is too late and you should have read in between the lines if all you got the CE for was a subscription to Vanguard

Actually alot of people (or that I've seen anyways) have made this mistake.
People want to think there's a 90 day subscription because they're paying more, so when they see "3 month subscription" and they've never heard of "Station Players" they tend to finish the sentence themselves into "3 month subscription to vanguard".
People just need to read a little more closely and carefully. Not a huge deal, and it's a semi-common mistake people are making.
