To keep things simple and in perspective, WoW 'was' an exciting game at launch. But lets get real, the reality is Blizzard took way, i mean way to long to come out with an expansion. Players can only do so much of Molten Core and Blackwing Lair before you get extremely bored of those places. I left WOW 7months ago, because since its release, majority of players have done everything possible the game has to offer...what killed WOW for me is the long, very long 2years it took Blizzard to come out with this Burning Crusade expansion, and god only knows how long it will take them to release another one...i think Blizzard is very very slow when it comes to progress, and keepin up the excitement for existing players. Heck, i can only take so much of a 40man raid and listen to the 40 pple on Ventrillo for the past 2 years...BORING.....
I can handle the bugs and the problems from any new game, alot of games have some type of problems at release, but so far, like it or not, Vanguard is a longterm game...WOW and many other games coming out...are really short term gaming experiences...i dont see them lasting very long....

This should be in the WOW forums with the rest of the enlightened people.
Ex. "Why I quit wow?" or "What do people see in this game?"
Have a nice day.

Amaro, suck a you now what, if u read the bottom of the post, my point i was trying to make is that vanguard seems like an exciting game with long term goals.....that its not a boring game like some others out there....LOL, next time i will make a post as simple as possible so people can understand the point being made...ex. for pple like Amaro
Either way, more than half of the post is about how much WoW sucks, therefore, SHOULD be in the WoW forum.

Doesn't say it's free. It says Price is n/a (not available). They have not updated the page with current info.
ok thank you.
Some ppl just keep playing even though they dont enjoy it any more and then come on forums and bash it. I dont get it.
I agree that Blizzard took way too long on getting this expansion out. However, I wouldn't call it a short term game by any stretch of the imagination. Millions (literally) of players have hung in there for two years waiting for an expansion, and that really says something about their product.
Developers have to draw a fine line between realeasing a product when it's done (i.e., a really nice release like BC) and releasing a product that is buggy and not ready (i.e., Vanguard in my opinion). I don't expect games to be 100 percent bug free at release, but bugs should be something that you have to go out of your way to find. They should not be popping up every half hour or less and everywhere you turn (so much so that the devs have to announce over world broadcast for players to stop using /petition for bugs!).
Whether Vanguard is longterm or not still remains to be seen. Calling it longterm at this point (3 days from release?) is a bit premature, and the game still has a long ways to go to prove itself. I personally hope that it is longterm, because I have a $50 investment in it at the moment (not to mention personal time which is adding up). The jury is still out on this one.
On a side note, if both WoW and Vanguard were released for the first time today, which game would be more polished and ready to go? Would WoW still have millions compared to Vanguard's thousands? If you only had $50 bucks and both games were new, which would you play? Now be honest!
I am the opposite, the pedigree of Sigil is enough for me to discount Blizzard (if both released at the same time).
As a preference, VG is much more complex and entertaining for me than WoW ever was. I admit I liked and played WoW but I was only waiting for this game.
Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve
