Knight Online penalized accounts for exploits.
In efforts to provide a better gaming experience to all players, your Knight Online team has penalized 3469 accounts identified in our databases to have been exploiting the recent quest bug. Players that have abused this bug received an experience point double penalty. This penalty is based on their total experience earned and how many times the bug was abused. An example of this is if a level 70 player used this bug to level to 75, that would result in the player being de-leveled to 65.
Remember that any exploitation of discovered bugs can be punishable up to account termination.
As always, we thank the vast majority of players in the Knight Online World who are playing the game fairly and we look forward to seeing you in-game!

now that is a great way to reduce exploitation of bugs.
i just hope that they wont lose accounts because they penalised them.

I truely cannot believe game companies feel justified in actions such as these. An "Exploit" is used synonymously with a player using a bug to gain advantage in the game. All players are looking to gain an advantage in any competative game. The responsibility is for the game company to fix "bugs" or "exploits" or prevent them from ocuring. I hate hearing people whine about exploits... they should instead whine about the decreasing quality of games that are released as final products.
Way to go game developers for punishing people that pay you to play a game that allowed them to "exploit".
I would just simply ban them but I have no regard in anyone you exploits or hacks any game. Games ARE for FUN.. Just because one person has the pleasure to exploit doesn't mean he should get away with dissatisying other players. Think about it..
A game such as KO.. They are a free game BUT!! Nonetheless they have a "buy" system where players can purchase additional items and etc.. If the players that purchase items find that a free account can level faster than they can because the free account exploits bugs and glitches do you really think that the pay 2 play person will purchase anything again?? If that is the case what is going to keep the game running? A game has to make money to stay running.. Regardless.
Well there is already tons of games like that
yeah, K2N penalized 3.6k accounts ... when in fact 3/4 of all players are cheating, exploiting, scamming, etc.
It's a complete mockery to penalize even those couple accounts.
Sheesh ... "money 1st , gamers last" is the most well known slogan in mmorpg world.
Ahh, 1 thing for future haters: I dun play KO, don't want to participate in those Knight Cheatonline game after I saw what happened to my couple friends playing this s#

Meh... FTP games are usually full of stuff like this... figure the players would get used to it by now.
But, glad to see they tried to proactively do this. I remember when COV first came out some guilds figured out some sort of prestige exploit that let them build enormous bases by buying rooms and selling them back for more than they paid for them.
The players/guilds weren't banned, however they lost their bases and incurred some sort of large prestige debt that had to be first worked off before they could build another base.....

News Flash!!! It is FACT that every mmorpg out there is exploitable. FACT, thousands of players use hacks for PvP, (i.e. most players that are always whining about wanting PvP in mmorpg's are usually the culprits).
FACT, most mmorpg's are simplistic to run scripts for many functions of the game code.
FACT, mmorpg's are becoming a dead genre
FACT, many gamers are now gravitating towards rpg's with online play capability (example:NWN2 among the few of them)
FACT, gamers who are not aware of this are usually the complete newbs
FACT, it is not noobs the correct term is newbs you newbs
complain if u want but it is a sign that SOMETHING is being done to turn back the tide of cheaters. yes, cheating is still massive. They chat onpenly about where to get bots and pm preists to help them but some seem to be getting scared. I've found botters standing instead of sitting while botting (harder to take a screen shot that proves anything). Even if too little over all, this action taken by K2/KOL was a positive thing. Again, firm but fair. Enjoy the minor victory, take the money and run, party on.
