I'd really like to know a ballpark estimate of how many of the applicants will get in so I know my chances :P. I helped in the WoW:BC beta and it was some of the best times I had playing the game, but to me it seemed like there weren't all that many people that got in, since we didn't have many servers. I hope TR gets plenty so that the community will be pretty large when the game goes public rather then some other great games where they fell at the start because of community.
PS: CuppaJo, good to have you on board with TR, **cough** get me into beta**cough** lol. BTW, is there something wrong with these forums? All my spaces are messed up and in the wrong places....

Well they reported that they have had 20,000 applicants so far.
The first stage is of course the closed beta - we dont know how many they will have for that - but they are going to do rounds of invites. Closed beta of course being the heavy testing phase.
Before release there should be an open beta stage where the load balancing happens so tons of people will get in then - but that could be 3 to 6 months or more away.
However if you have already signed up in the beta i think you have a good chance of geting in pretty soon assuming you got the right comp specs, live in america, and are over 18 years old.
your age lists as 54 - and you use your mom's account? Get with the program soldier
I'd gotten an email from them about being invited in and they were looking for specific specs on systems and had a survey to fill out. It needed to be a bit more narrowed though because I think I may have messed mine up in the part about the processor.
They were looking for a minimum of equivilant to a 2.5 Ghz pentium and I put down that mine runs at 2.2 Ghz, but I use an AMD XP 3.5 processor, which supposed to be the equivilent to a 3.5 pentium, but they asked for processor speed so i put down what it runs at according to my system readings. All other areas I exceeded the minimums on, but I've not heard anythign back since and am worried I might have put the wrogn data down in that one part and messed up my chances for this round of invites.
Still keeping my fingers crossed though, eager to test this baby and help make it good - we really need new blood in this genre and sci-fi types especially since SWG went the way of the dodo and AO is mediocre at best.

The current minimum system specifications for Tabula Rasa are as follows. You must meet these specifications in order to participate in the beta test:
These are the current recommended system specifications:
these are what I was able to find for system reqs.

I am looking forward to my invite . Play NC isnt a bad company. I am looking forward to a cross between AO, Planetside and CoH.
Now go kill ten foxs.

Its never been said that it was a first sign up - first in thing.
What they said was they would be doing waves of invites, and choosing people to get a good range of different systems to test the game.
So I suggest you sign up now based on the computer you will be putting together in a few days time.
I think I remember CuppaJo saying the first wave would be people who won slots via competitions - like the auto assault one they did awhile ago.
well they did say February, but they were trying to get as much content and fixes in before starting. So I guess last day in Feb.
That would give me two weeks to finish all those games I never finished - Oblivian, Guild Wars - Nightfall, Dawn of War - Dark Crusade.
So according to the man himself - thousands are getting into the next stage.
