Too Dark?????

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Hi,

Im just starting out as an Elf and its just gone into darkness and I literally cant see a bloooming thing... including Mobs that im literally walking into!!!

 

Anyone else having these problems?? ITS WAY TOO DARK!!!

    Turn on your torch? Wait for day time? Adjust your monitor?

    If its this dark normally its a major flaw in the game!

    Check your view distance in the game settings.

    aahhh... apologies to the original guy who replied... I do in fact have a torch!!!

     

    Sorry.. I will use it when it goes into darkness again! dduuhhhhhhhhh

    I like that a game has finally added back a sense of DARKNESS at night.  All the other games were far too light at night!



    Makes it a bit more dangerous.  You can't run around full bore at night without some consequence; kind of like this guy:   www.youtube.com/watch

    There is two torches, k and shift k.  The first one k is the regular one, and shift k is the beta torch I believe.  But!!! they both work together.

    Also if the screen is going completely dark where you can't see anything, if you have the HDR TONE mapping option turned on, well turn it off as there is a bug in that option where the screen blanks out till you either relog or turn the option off and back on.

    If the torch doesn't solve your issue, or you would generally like your screen to be brighter, day or night, go to your video settings and scroll down to the GAMMA, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST settings.

    With some video cards, Vanguard's defaults for these settings can alternately make the game appear very dark, make colors appear very bland and washed out, or create the exact opposite result of making everything horribly bright (especially with Bloom and HDR on) and colors ridiculously intense.

    This also boils down to individual player preference. So adjust the sliders until you find the settings that are most pleasing to you.

    Turn your gamma setting up a bit till you like it , should fix you right up
