Game download help

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
I downloaded the digital installer the VG station website provides and i sat there for 10 hours waiting for it to install so i could play with my buddy key i got... after it downloaded all files and and updated stuff and patched or whatever i got an error message saying that im missing a file is there any other place i could download the whole game instead of just the launcher and having to patch the whole game? what should i do?

    i re did it and it said the file im missing is d3dx9_31.dll ... what is that and where can i get it.

    When you start the game it says to make sure you have the latest version od dx9 instealled. . .do you have the latest version of dx9 installed?
