Poll: Is Vanguard going to kill any chance of getting pre-CU SWG back?

I've been thinking allot about pre-CU and Vanguard and I've come to the conclusion that it's actually not in pre-CU's best interest to buy and play Vanguard. I know this is probably not what you want to hear but just hear me out.
We have to realize that WE are the players that left SWG because of the CU and NGE. Its because of US that SWG has failed since WE are the people that CANCELED our accounts leaving SOE with less then 10k players. Further more most of us went on to play WOW (myself included) at least for a month after the fiasco with SWG. Therefore more of us then we would like to admit have helped WOW reach its subscriber high. Now if we look at SOE as a company then we have to realize that they don't care about us but they do care about our subscriptions. Keeping this in mind it's easy to see then that to them it makes no difference if we play SWG, EQ2 or Vanguard, as long as they get our money back. Vanguard has been marketed as the "new home for all SWG pre-cu veterans" since I first heard about beta 1. I would not put it past Sony to have inflated that statement if they didn't make it up altogether (think about allwantforxmasisapsp.com).
So I ask for you, is playing vanguard helping us or hurting us?

I would like to point out that I am not looking for an argument, I was just wondering if I am the only one who thinks that SOE might be trying to use Vanguard as a way to get rid of it's SWG image. I'm seriously interested in the opinion of anyone who might have thought about this too.

SWG will be a memory inside of 1 to 2 years.
The socalled next generation of mmo games released in the next 1 to 2 years will absolutley kill SWG.Just stop hoping that SOE will listen.They have not listened yet anf they will not in the future nor do they care about petitions.
Just stop and find another game to play.
