That because Guild Wars is not a MMORPG, but CORP (Coperative/Competive Online Role Playing Game) Furtherway, Guild Wars is an extremely well organised game which is definately worth to give it a try.

Between silkroad and guild wars, I'll take silkroad's persistent world, historical flavor, and triangular caravan system and mesh them with guild wars' skills and character builds/customerization to make a perfect mmorpg.

I feel between these two games, one's strength is exactly the other's weakness.

I'm surprised that over 25% of the 11 votes [at the point of this post it was 11] have gone to Silk Road...(Though I abhor both games, I didn't vote)

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "

I'm surprised it's only 25%, since everyone who "hates" GW (including the WoW fanbois) is going to vote Silkroad.

GuildWars is way better and has better story and gameplay

    Why not play both?

None requires a monthly subscription, and represent 2 complete opposites of the genre.

I hate grinding... Thats why I´m playing Guild Wars.

    right where to start...

both have no monthly fees but SRO is absoloutley free and its amazing quality for not paying a single penny... but for £30 u can hav a better quality game that is more user friendly. so if you are a bit low on your pennys and dont realy want to pay money incase u dnt like a game then play SRO my friend, but if ur more serious and a measely 30 quid doesnt bother u then get out and buy GW. me personally i pick gw but if i had an award to give to the best out of GW and SRO then i'd have to choose SRO, its basically gw but duller and not as exciting to look at, but what do u expect for free u cheepskate lol oj.

however... if i could pick a 3rd low budget MMO then id pick RuneScape but thats off topic so ill stop there.

No offense but one would have to be very, very addicted to grinding treadmills to consider SRO a fun experience. Maybe that's just me though since I like games that entertain me rather than feeling like work.

I tried silkroad and i got sick of it after the first 15 minutes and any game that dose not grab your intrest in the first few minutes isn't worth playing. Also don't give me crap saying; "It's fun when your a higher level" cuz thats bullshit u shouldn't spend countless hours grinding inorder for a game to become "fun"

My spoon is too big -_-

Yep i tried SRO aswell and got it of it after 15min.

Currently Playing: Metal Gear Online, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Oblivion. (Taking a break from MMO's)

Why bother with this post here? In any case, GW is far superior in many regards, I uninstalled Silkroad after trying it for a few hours, it had no appeal for me.
