Blizz tries to make this as simple as possible...surely he noticed the different colours maybe? Maybe the name, and noticed there's about 359 more mobs with the same name as his mysterious attacker?

But, to say noone can be that stupid? I disagree. I never underestimate the lows a human being can reach. I think alot of people suffer from an internal I D ten T error.

if you played another MMO, even for a little bit, you'll know at least somewhat about monster aggro and such
(i was also laughing very hard about his installation tale of woe since you can get the latest (and patched) version of the game directly from the bliz site)

The humans can be as stupid as this guy.
E.g. there was guy who wanted to put the gold to the bank in WoW. It is pretty logic, that the bank purpose it to keep money safe.
Also, I met a warrior who tried to tank boss in dungeon w/o using one-hander and shield and without defensive stance... because he didn't do the quest to unlock the defensive stance. Thus, the boss went for healers, as the "tank" didn't aggroed him enough.
There are lots of stories about player's stupidity.
Was it an NPC? Probably..Did he kill me? Yes. Did I provoke it? No. Maybe some sort of bug?

Newsflash: a defias brotherhood mob doesn't take 2 or 3 minutes to kill a low level character. in fact, it doesn't even take more then 30 seconds.
