    I trust da Zeb!  image

Anything is cool, I am more familiar with the serie SG-1 myself, but anything sound cool!  I mean, I can learn other aspects from Stargate.

It is obvious that using already known content is usually an edge, but it can be done in so many ways, it could be 20 years later or whatever, anyway, some missions will prolly make you travel in time...so I bet you will get some of everything, in some missions at least.  (I didn't check and I talk without knowing, but I feel rather safe at assuming that some missions will be instanced, yet, I dunno and whatever is cool).

Just like in CoH, you have an alternate reality where WW2 was won by Germany and they put the 4th column in charge of America (or was it the 6th column?).  image

since the movie is more like a major pilot for sg-1...kinda, or just a
background story, i just said sg-1 and atlantis...anything in sg1 is in
the movie(goa'uld, abydos, jaffa, gliders, ect)...

i beleive that it will take place just after the aybodos mission, because at this time alot of the gou'ld are still alive and are still ruling their domains. WHat about the other teams and the other villians who were not explored more in the stargate series?

I think it'll take place just prior to the discovery of the ori, as they have mentioned battles vs replicators. Yet gu'auld, tokra, and jaffa are options. so perhaps the 'system lords' have fallen, and gu'auld players are trying to grab planets, and lost territory. That or they a splinter from the Lucian alliance, etc..

Either way the Tauri will fall, and  if not from Wraith getting included image, then just give me an Alkesh...

SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011

Stargate will probably be back in the Old Glory days of Apophis and the Replicators. But hell, I'll take any timeline, as long as they stick with it without moving backwards or a billion years forward (Like SWG). With my timeline, the Goa'uld and Tok'ra are at odds, we've got the Replicators as well, and the Humans are still a factor, and the Jaffa rebellion is in its beginning. Also, from here, it isn't that big a step to Anubis and Atlantis. The timeline could be moved forward over the space of a year or so to the Expansion of Atlantis (Which would be impossible to travel back and forth due to storyline, so I'd think maybe a Pre-order type thing for the intital expedition, and a week to a month later the Daedalus comes into Play).

From there, the Wraith, remaining Goa'uld, and Ori come into play. Not quite sure how the show is ending, so I don't know how long the story could go from there. Say two years after release, we hit the ending of season 10 in the storyline, and a whole new plotline pops up (Invented by the Devs). Atlantis would keep on running until it ends, and the plotline from there would be implemented by the Devs.

Suffice to say, this is probably too complicated and unfeasable, but I think it would be awesome to do it this way.

SG-1 is going to be the main basis for the game and they have already said that Atlantis will be a add on/expansion later on.

It won't be set then the devs have already stated the game will be based during the currently sg-1 setting or where they leave off after it's canceled.

I'm personaly a pve player  and better in the support  role I would like to  see content  that is group based  that you need a group to complete  as well as solo missions lets not forget the pvp players . there are a lot of people looking to replace the old starwars game since it's demise last year with nge so I feel with a  well rounded  game this could do well  I'm looking forward to it and I know sevral people that would love to beta test it

i think  Stargate Worlds should have a FPS aspect to, from the interview i read that there would be squad aspects to the game, but what does that entail? what it really boils down to is that i don't want character skills and levels to determine the out come of every bout, but rather the individual skill and accuracy of the player behind our online counter-parts to have some say in how the PVP and PVC turn out.

Also... another thought, there should be the availability to change camera views. If you're a WOW player you might enjoy that 3rd person aspect of gaming, but if like me you play a lot of BF2 and CS:SOURCE then you have that tendency for that 1st person view. i just think that option should be available.

i'm very excited for this game to be released, and i do hope to be one of the beta testers.

Yes there will be alot of squad tactics, Including having to use cover, having to work with your teams and how to plan your next attack. It's not going to be a fps but may have alot of aspects from a fps. The closest one I think of when I think SGW is Gears of war the cover pop and shot tactics.

if only there were a way to inter mix the two. and on the topic of squad combat, what are we talking here? I'm just not quite sure how they're going to work it. you have 4 members of an SG team, and from what i understand they are for the most part supposed to be online players and not A.I. how will communication between members happen if you don't have a mic? are they planning on having preset communications? cause when it boils down to it those presets really don't cut it when you need good communication between team members. There are so many questions i have, and they probably wont all be answered till the release.
