Question on Buddy key.

Hi all,
I was wondering how the buddy key works. If I am able to get one can I download the game and try it for a short amount of time without subscribing? I played EQ for 5 years, UO before and DAoC, WoW etc etc etc... and would like to have a peek at this game before actually buying it.
I would just go buy it but with reviews seeming to be either "best game ever" or "worst game ever" and few in the middle I would like to get a sneak peak. I have always been careful since the Anarchy Online launch lol.
Also if I am correct on how the buddy key works (letting me try the game free a short while) I would greatly appreciate a key if anyone has one to share. Thank you in advance for any info or help you may give.

If you are serious about getting this game, I suggest waiting at least a month before getting it. Give them time to fix the incapacitating and innumerable amount of bugs and glitches in the game.
The game is unfinished too, not just buggy. A lot of spell graphics are yet to be implemented, animations are glitchy and need fine tuning, sound effects are non-existent in a lot of abilities and spells....
Give it some time first. Perhaps in a month they'll release a free trial too.
But I figured if I can find a buddy key and have a look now, who knows, I may have enough fun to warrant purchasing the game immediately. Or at least be assured in my decision to hold off a bit.
Seems I may be a few days too late.
It's my opinion that the words "incapacitating" and "innumerable" are a bit of a stretch. I'm rocking out a buddy key that Napar gave me yesterday, and I have yet to run across any bugs. As a matter of fact, it looks like Sigil went through and streamlined the newbie areas since the last beta, which is good, because some of them were in poor shape.
On top of that, I have a hard time respecting Ronny's point of view when it comes to Vanguard now because his post about why Vanguard was so bad basically boiled down to "I'm upset because I can't run Vanguard at highest settings at have higher than 50fps." So, take anything he says with a grain of salt. Also, take anything I say with a grain of salt. =P In any case, if I decide to purchase the game (at this point, I don't see why I wouldn't), and nobody's given you a key by then, I'll hook you up with one.
