wow this game didnt do to bad on my crappy comp any how!

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Game set on balance no configuration touched yet, did not touch the vanguard.ini or the ingame settings all i did was go to task manager and remove alot of stuff of the background till i had 15 processes running.



I ran vanguard and is only takig about 600 ram out of my total of 1 gig.



So btw i was running this on balance i was getting very LOW fps  it was hard to move i mean i could move but it would stutter but it wasnt all that but but it was playable but certanly unenjoyable.



BTW any one worried about not being able to play this heres my computers specs



Gateway intel pent 4 3.00 ghz (2 Cpus)

1022 MB ram

Radeon 9550 ( omega 3.8.330)



Not worried about audio due to it will stay off because it helps increase FPS ill just listen to the radio or music online.



So there ya have it granted its on balance with nothing touched yet and im still able to play with stutter unejoyable stutter but still playable. Ima follow the tweaking guide and im sure it will run great and try to make it look okay at the same time. My computer is probably the worse computer ever also.

    If you had another gig of ram and a better video card you'd do fine.  I'm running a 3.2ghz p4 2 gigs of ram and a 7900gtx and I get between 20-50fps depending on where I am.  Tursh for whatever reason always give me the worst fps. 

    In beta it was unplayable for me on all but low quality (which looks the same as balanced to me) now I run on high quality... man what a difference two weeks made!

    I honestly dont think i need to upgrade, i dont have the money any way :P but im right with you i played beta and i couldnt play it AT ALL on the lowest setting now i can play it on balance with problems. I have good faith in this company i give it a good month or two and i bet this game will run as smooth as EQ2 or WoW on my comp with balance set and nothing touched.

    Your graphics card is at the cusp of retirement as far as modern games are concerned, so upgrading would do wonders for your performance.



    Vanguard is also more RAM intensive than other MMORPGs because of it's seamless nature and vast viewing distance. So 2 gigs of RAM is recommended.

    I want to chime in real fast.. i bought the game yesterday.. and i was unable to play it without stuttering like the person above me said..  So what are we to do?

    Spend 150-200 bucks on a new video card? People on the tech forums said they had nice video cards and still the game runs like a bag of turds.. I dunno man, i'm left with a sour taste in my mouth.

     I'll hold onto my copy incase i win the lottery and can build a space age super computer so i can play this game i guess.

     (far as the game LOOKS from what little i saw, besides the ugly character creation shows tons of promise, enough great stuff that i dare to say to could possibly drag us away from wow maybe?)

    P.S, What do you guys think? is this a problem they can fix or is it everyones crappy computers?

    p.s.s I do have all the 'recommended' specs for this game....
