Yay, a game that breaks the mold for RvR or endgame raid content. I will be playing WAR.
I am so sick of meaningless PvP or 24+ hour PvE raids. I welcome a game with a competative well thought out PvP game system. Cheers!
But i like it.

This is gonna be the game to watch most definatly, i truely think all other MMORPGS should fear the release of this one, its just got so many solid featrues and the game itself not only has a MASSIVE following but its also very appealing to outsiders.
We have seen a game that did this before and i belive this will be the one to do it again.

As far as this video, I like the idea of being able to help 'my side' in the conflict from new player all the way through top dwarf (okay I admit to my bearded colors). WoW is great but the PvP requirement of level 60 (70 now) with high end junk makes it nescessary to grind to that point just to do something for the home team.
Looking forward to WAR and marking my calendar *sad sniffle* for late this year.
That sounds sort of like Guild Wars Factions, where you perform PvP missions/quests/instances to support your side and push the battle front into enemy territory.
I think I'll prefer PotBS RvR more really, it seems more natural, less scripted, sort of like planetside, where you see a base/port you want, and with the support of your faction you fight to take it.

Did I misunderstand, or will all six factions be seperate? Will greenskins be cooperating with dark elves? Sharing the same PvE zones? Or do they each have thier own seperate realms?
I thought it was just the two sides, but from that map it looked like dwarves and greenskins had thier own distinct tiers, with elves wayyy off to the west?
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
Playing: Everthing
Played: DAoC,AC2,EvE,SWG,WAR,MXO,CoX,EQ2,L2,LOTRO,SB,UO,WoW.
I have played every MMO that has ever come out.
Based on the maps, it does look like there are 2 races going head to head but I have to imagine that at some point you will get to join up with other races of your factions (good or evil as it were). Otherwise the game would be boxing races into 1 race versus 1 specific race and that would be extremely short sighted. An example of how to link races that WoW players might recognize is the tram system between Dwarves and Humans. Of course in WAR, since you have to traverse the Home City to Tier4-Tier3-Tier2-Tier1, doing this would make it hard for a low Tier player to hook up with his buddy another low Tier player of a different race unless you have folks running escort services or they incorporate 'caravans' or something.
In any event, I highly doubt that the races will be so segregated that you won't be able to hook up with others of your faction.
