Whats the problem?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I’ve been in Vanguard since the pre-launch and I love it.  I think the character creation is nice, the choice of classes is great and the storey seems deep.  I also think this game is great to look at and that’s coming from someone whos computer doesn’t meet spec.

 

My Rig

AMD 2100+

ATI 9800 Pro 128

1GB Ram

 

At best I can get 20 FPS but most nights its at 6-8 FPS.  I’ve turned down every setting I can and I have to turn off my audio when I do a dungeon but the game is worth it.  Every person I have met has been great, there is always a group and I just got into a guild with almost 400 members.  I find the game has enough solo content to keep me busy when I haven’t much time to play and if needed a group always seems to be forming.

 

Like I said I have most of my settings tuned down but when I have friends over I’ll crank everything to full to show off the game and wow does it look nice.  I’m finding the content to be great and I am meeting enough RPers to keep my RP needs met.  The crafting is fun and it’s a nice change from combat.

 

Yes the game has bugs but as we all know the game was pushed out a bit before it should have, but who cares.  If you can’t deal with this game in the state it’s in, play something else.  If you’re looking for a game with more to it then the end game, check out Vanguard.

    Glad you're enjoying it! Me too, I'm basically hooked. Have fun in telon and nvm people who don't like it.

    That’s just it, I do enjoy it and I don’t understand why people feel the need to bash it or any other MMO.  If they don’t like it stick with what you do like.  I dislike some MMOs but I don’t post on their forums, unless I’m in the beta.

    There are a TON of tweaks out there. Have you messed with the vgclient.ini file? If you haven't, I guarantee you can increase your FPS by a lot. There's tons of tweaks out there, like I just said. Try tentonhammer forums and other forums for tweaks.

    You cant possibly be enjoying the game at 6-8 fps. No way. No matter how good a game is how the hell do you enjoy 6-8 fps? Are you a saddist?

    I've noticed that some people can tolerate really low framerates.  These people do exist !  They're freaks, but I've seen it with my own eyes.  Personally I get annoyed at < 30 FPS, being an old Quake player.

    Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

    Im getting 8-15 fps and im ready to quit computer gamming .... forever. hmm maybe not forever maybe until i upgrade..but still that may seem like....forever.
